This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

isn't Dark Souls Remastered essentially just the previous version with DSfix pre-applied?

I understand people wanting ports on newer consoles but the PC version seems pointless

Indiegala has a Dark Souls Complete deal and gives you a cheaper price if you already own Prepare to Die

i only bring this up cause i think it's cool a non-Steam site is letting you get a discount you normally only get on steam

Yeah, apparently the lighting is a little different but that's really the only difference. Not worth 20 bucks or whatever. I'm sure I'll buy it in a few years when there's particularly lame steam sale and it's 5 dollars or something

Biggest differences between Dark Souls w/ DSFix and Dark Souls Remastered appear to be:

- 60 FPS that won't break the game in a handful of spots or screw up some jumps

- Lighting overhaul

- 6-player MP (up from 4)

- Various QoL improvements

- Armor textures seem to look worse in the Remastered version.

I would've bought it if I were desperate for something to play, but then Super Mega Baseball 2 came out earlier this month and scrapped that idea. $10 is at the high end of what I'd pay, personally (Or I'll wait to get it from the February 2020 Humble Monthly).

So apparently there's a new Leisure Suit Larry game coming out at the end of this year (Wet Dreams Don't Dry). And there's already a Steam page up for it:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/765870/Leisure_Suit_Larry__Wet_Dreams_Dont_Dry/
Well, at least it's a point and click adventure game. So they got that part right.
I don't think they got Al Lowe back though. For whatever that's worth.
Damn, art style is leaving something to be desired. Larry was always supposed to be short, bald and with a paunch. I see some critics online already reacting with scorn towards its "tone deaf" revival filtered through modern sensibilities. Still, I'm excited about any new "adult" game in this day and age where everything seems to be going backward (I always felt like the classic LSL games were both ahead of their time and inherently feminist). I've played every iteration of this series -- from Softporn Adventure to Reloaded, which I also backed -- so I'm interested no matter what. But yeah, I'm guessing Al wasn't involved, which is definitely going to suffer for it.

Guess they're not going to reveal anymore games for the Humble Monthly.  Strongly considering skipping as I have the feeling the bonuses will be tied to Activision stuff.

DIABLOW 2 WAS IN THE MONTHLY????? WHY DON'T I HAVE A BLIZZARD KEY???? I'M OFF TO HUMBLE SUPPORT, WISH ME LUCK!!!!
No, not Diablo 2, Drawaful 2 OBVIOUSLY.

I would if I didn't already had it. The single player is fantastic, I didn't care about the plot, but gameplay was great. Ain't saying MP is bad, just didn't tried it
I might get it too, played demo and it wasn't bad.

Anyone else's cards just not sell anymore? Feels like I've had 200+ listed for months.
i think the market is pretty depressed. When I list cards ill sell like gangbusters for like 2 weeks. By that time cards have already taken the next drop in price and my listings just rot.

Spring Cleaning event is live, and there are a handful of games F2P for the weekend:

Dead by Daylight

Cities: Skylines

Don't Starve Together

Dirt 4

Left 4 Dead 2

Tyranny

Borderlands 2

Shadow of Mordor

Castle Crashers

So I've done a number of these cleaning achievements so far and got some emoticons, a background and an item called "Mystery Item" (looks like a cardboard box).  All it says in the description is "This item might be useful in a future sale.  Earned for participating in the Spring Cleaning Event in 2018."

Interesting I suppose.

I downloaded City of Heroes and launched it (probably first person in years to do that) and it activated the badge

Then I had to force close Steam because it couldn't actually open the CoH launcher and so there was no way to close out of the game and uninstall it.

I know most of you elitists have moved onto Archi's Steam Farm, but for the rest of us still using Idle Master you can directly idle any game you own through the Windows command prompt.

Within the cmd window navigate to the folder where you installed or unzipped IM then enter the following:

"steam-idle.exe ######"

(where ###### is the appid of the game)

That way you can quickly log playtime without actually playing/installing anything (to fulfill the spring cleaning tasks).

I'm considering a purchase on Fanatical (formerly Bundlestars), but I wasn't able to use Paypal for some reason when I tried to make a purchase last year. Has anyone ever used a debit card on Fanatical?

My Paypal never worked before Bundlestars got renamed for a month or two. Eventually Paypal worked for me again and it's been working ever since. Just try it again.

*comes out of time machine*

Hey guys, Castle Crashers is kinda fun. I've been playing some for the badge. I mean, it ain't rocket science, but it's simple, beat them up, fun!
