How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)

Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

Got 3 games under $18 before elite and 6 games around $20-30. Applied cag16 on the highest priced games, the games under 18 were basically free. Decided to just place one order to get free shipping.

It’s nice that they allowed B2g1 and cag16 on BF. It was good enough, I’ll take a little bit of a loss. Now I don’t have to buy anything else except Nier Yorha edition since I’ve heard great things about it and I’m apparently missing out

Lol I was getting errors too on the app after placing 3 items in the cart. I switched to my browser and everything worked fine

I tried going with new games in the cart and oddly the order seemed fine.

For the people who renewed Elite on the website, do you still get free 2-day Express shipping, or is the only benefit just the 20% discount on preowned and trade-ins?
 
Anyone else having a weird issue with checking out on the website. Everytime I finalize the checkout it says the order is declined and to try a different payment method or contact customer service. I've tried different payment methods and it shows up in my bank account as a charge then immediate refund. So it's some sort of error on Gamestops end not my credit card.
 
Can GameStop gift cards be purchased in-store with reward-point-redeemed reward certificates? I haven't tried to do it since they changed which gift cards can be purchased with trade credit a few months ago.

UNLESS you paid with Paypal like I did recently. Went to return their "new/opened" game that I picked up Sunday (ended up buying an actually New copy from Amazon for the same price), and when I mentioned PP, they told me I had to work with the online help. Nothing useful on the website, so had to call their 800 number. In a total shock, they actually answered right away, and were able to send me a packing label to print out within 5 minutes. Not terrible, just more hoops to jump through. Not counting the fact that I'll have to use one of my own mailers to send the thing that I bought in-store... Just throwing out an FYI for anyone using that PP discount for in-store pickup.

Everything that was available. Its annoying that they dont let you order used games online until after like a month of release. A bunch of stores have used Luigis Mansion and I dont feel like going to one of them tonight or tomorrow

I got my Fandango ticket today, I uploaded on Sunday the last day of G2L. I also received my email confirmation for games I bought with trade credit online.

i keep holding onto my rewards points hoping for the day rewards certificates go back on discount during black Friday again. ::cries::
 
Hey guys, I have a legitimate question that I hope someone can answer.  I just redeemed 12,000 points for $15 off one pre-owned item coupon.  I haven't redeemed one of these in a while, but they used to give you the option to print a PDF of the coupon, but I can't seem to find the PDF on my rewards activity.  Do they provide a printable PDF anymore?  Or can I just provide the GameStop employee with the code on the page when I go to the store?

It shows up in your active offers. You can just tell the employee you have a certificate you want to use.

When i redeemed one of these last time, it was under my offers on the employees side. They added it on no problem and i didn't have to do anything. I did have it redeemed before they started the transaction though. Apparently that's a must in order for them to see it on your account.

Thank you. I'm hoping that I can put it towards the $99 pre-owned PlayStation Vita since my other one got destroyed in the washing machine several months ago. I was fortunate to buy a $75 GameStop card for $65. So the Vita will only cost me another $10 plus tax.

ohhhh so that's why they stopped selling certificates online.
 
Got shipping notification for 2 games (out of 30 games). They were all split up into 3-5 game orders, so hopefully I'll get 100% shipment and no cancellations.

Used trade credit and cag16 for all orders.

Well with the 15% offer, Cag16 and B2G1 today was great. Kind of happy found the 15% offer out of the blue

Parts of 2 of my orders (9 total orders so far) have shipped so far. Both orders have a game that still shows up as 'Order received' in stead of 'Preparing for shipment'. Hoping they didn't run out of stock.

Probably fake af. Got notifications for all 9 orders I made last night, was sweating bullets because they came in hours after I made the orders. Gonna attempt to return rebuy this Pokemon Lite in an hour so that'll probably be a disaster. Other than that, might try to pick up the BG games and the unorderable NSW games and that's about it. Got too much credit here to shop anywhere else for games lol
 
Damn. It’s almost 2:30, and there’s only 1 car here aside from me. Last year there was a definite drop in dorks waiting outside, but there were at least 20 or so by now.

Probably due to the fact you can pretty much get any of the deals online and don't have to deal with traffic or people anymore.
 
(I count myself among the dorks, I hope that cones across)

Even though I was second in line and only picking up two systems, it still took almost 10 minutes to cash out. They are hard selling EVERY kind of possible upsell they can. More people showed up (mostly at 2:55$, so there’s a good 40 shoppers here now. If they’re going to take this long to cash out everyone, it’s going to be a while.
 
I stopped by and grabbed the only Poke Ball Plus they had (stopped right at 3pm). It wasn't too busy yet, only a few people inside buying systems. Good luck to those going into stores today!

 
For those who have ordered games online last night, have the orders shipped or are they still preparing for shipment? My second order has shipped already but my first is still preparing for shipment (In Progress) and I am concerned that it won't go through.

Only had one order (Sekiro, Control, Breakpoint preowned) and it's still preparing for shipment. Considering those are all well known games with tons of preowned copies, it'll go through. Yours likely will as well unless you ordered some very, very, rare games, and even then it will likely go through. I've never seen gamestop cancel an order unless it was a price mistake.

You're concerned because your orders haven't shipped on a holiday? Of all things to be concerned about when shopping at GS, that should be the least of your worries. Orders taking 1-2 days to ship is normal even when it isn't BF.

 
Count me in for the "3 items in cart = checkout error" in app. Still can't login on website. Congrats to everyone else getting what they want with Elite and CAG16 though!

Next time tell them you paid with a Visa Debit Card and you can get cash or a gift card. They have no way of verifying payment method.
