Want to ask people who have played both versions, how much better is The Last of us Part 1 compared to the remastered version. Worth waiting for a sale on Part 1 to start the series or just play the remastered which I have already?

Guess it was a really good year.  :whistle2:o

Most years there's not one main title as good as either GoW (2018) or Elden Ring.  I'm going to assume that the new one is as good as the previous entry, and those review scores kinda solidify that.

Lol I couldn’t help but think that pic was photoshopped. It’s between elden ring and gow. I can still see gow winning cuz it’ll have a better story. We’ll just have to see how good it is cuz I loved elden ring and thought it’ll win GOTY unless GOW steps up

Awesome news. The Ratchet & Clank HD trilogy was always a glaring omission in the catalog.
I never got why Sony hasn't commissioned native PS4 ports of their HD remastered collections, at this point it's been long enough justify it and the beefier hardware would smooth out the performance issues.
Jak got the PS4 ports at least, though iirc, they run poorly on PS5s.

I'm sure some outlets will name it the best, but given GoW can only reach a limited audience (PS) it doesn't deserve it. I'd also be shocked if we don't hear of the first DLC for Elden Ring announced or teased during the VGAs next month, which just double-dips on its success.

Idk last of us 1 beat gta 5 which everyone had access to. I couldn’t believe it but I’m glad it did. RDR 2 > GTA 5. Gow 2018 beat RDR2 which I couldn’t believe either. I wouldn’t be surprised at this point.
 
I thought "game of the year" and the other categories were determined as a popularity contest and not based as much on their quality and such specifically. Not like I have a horse in the race or anything.  I actually disagree with tales of arise and scarlet nexus even being nominated for last years rpg category since neither were very good.

Some things don't change. I remember back in the 90's and 2000's people were accusing magazines and websites of being fanboys if they chose console exclusives as GOTY titles and that was back when nearly all of the best games were exclusive to one console or another.
 
objectively speaking the audience vote with their money and cod would win each year. mw2 just came out and already being compared to marvel's studio films for being a box office hit raking in $800 million in one weekend. 

gow will never reach those numbers even if it wasn't exclusive.  

this is like having a marathon race and 1st place who is literally the fastest won nothing, while 10th place won "runner of the year" for having the best smile. 

regardless it's meaningless to the rest of us.

Cod or Pokémon since those 2 are usually the bigger ones sales numbers wise.

Or games bundled like wii sports, Mario kart and such which pad sales numbers.

Excited is the wrong word, but unironically I’m more interested in how Sonic Frontiers turns out (even if it’s, as I expect, a disaster) than I am in God Of War. Maybe I should give the new ones a chance, but Kratos was always such a ridiculous character and I always hated the way GOW treated the mythology it was adapting, so I’ve been completely tuned out on GOW since the PS2 days.
 
Thought the original God of War trilogy peaked at number 2 and wasn't really looking forward to the God of War reboot after finishing the 3rd entry. Took me a full year later after release to give the rebooted God of War a chance, and I am glad to took that chance. Kratos is mature and different person in the reboot than the original. Combat is better especially after you unlock the other mechanics. Still don't like the puzzle though and not sure you would enjoy how they handle the mythology in the rebooted one.

So I went to grab the plus games for this month an nioh 2 is showing up as 49.99 with no plus option from the link in the email.  Is it bugged or something?

edit nevermind the ps plus button is for whatever reason separate and further down the games page.

Tried to Google but I couldn’t find an answer. I have an LG c1 oled that likes to show me two options for my PS5, one that just says hdmi 3 and another that says PlayStation 5 hdmi 3. AFAIK neither selection makes a difference, such as different settings being applied to one than the other. My LG b7a would also do something similar with both ps4 and ps5. Neither tv does that with any other devices.

Anybody have this happen to them? It would be nice if I could just get it to show one option for that input. Having two for the same thing drives a guy like me nuts

This is likely a side effect of HDMI CEC. I have a similar issue with my PS4 Pro and an older Samsung TV with a CEC-capable HDMI port.

One of my favorite platformers of the last few years so I always download these costumes as they come out but since I almost never replay games I don't think I'll ever use them.

I got my email invitation to order a psvr2. It’s just like the ps5 invites they’ve sent out where it’s a unique link per person but is also not a guarantee of availability. I was definitely going to try to order if the price was announced lower, but now I’m on the fence. I keep seeing things that renew my excitement for it. But then I remind myself that psvr1 had both a redesign and price cuts what feels like not a long time after launch. In these crazy days of inflation and the quest 2 actually getting a price INCREASE two years after release, who knows what will happen.

I’m curious to hear what some of you think about the upcoming psvr2 in general and what you think of the asking price
 
I find it cute that Sony expects me to spend $70 on PS5 games. I got a mountain of old games to play waiting for that shit to come down to a reasonable price.

Thank you for this! I have been trying to figure out for days why I couldn't claim the game. What an absolutely garbage unintuitive website.
