So there's still hope for games Microsoft skipped (Ghostwire Tokyo) or are planning to skip a physical release (Hellblade II).
Fully expect Hellblade 2 to come out on PS5 down the road. Surprised that one didn't get mentioned as much during the Xbox rumor craze leading up to Spencer's business update.

Would’ve been tempted to get Shantae on GBA for $35 but $60 is too high. Will wait for the Switch release.

Also, I prefer releases that have been out for a while and get delayed physical releases. Brand new games are more likely to have issues.

The LRG subreddit is back open closed again and I got invited to be a mod, not entirely sure what's happening there but somehow I'm along for the ride. The whole situation is really weird.

As far as High on Life goes, I'm glad it's finally getting a physical (with the DLC nonetheless) but since it's a distro I'll buy it elsewhere. I'd also really like to get one of the Shantae elephants (my wife likes the games and elephants are her favorite animal) but I'm not about to gamble $100 and buy a game I don't want for it, so eBay it is. Guessing there was some kind of license restriction with the plushes where they can't sell them outright - that was the case with early trading cards and prevented them from being sold separately.

What recently announced games are distro? and have they said anything about bringing back paypal?
I think it's generally the ones that don't have a "#" in their name, and the product details say it isn't part of a numbered Limited Run collection.
In some cases that falls apart. Shantae on GBA doesn't have a #, but it seems to apply for the main platforms.

You can also browse their Shop by 'Distributed': https://limitedrungames.com/collections/distro

Think the Felix game will be playable with the Switch Online NES controller?

I would think that's plausible though you'd likely need another controller for handling exiting the game. IF you have any other of the NES games they've ported using the carbon engine, it would probably be worth testing. I ended up buying the official SNES controllers which are more widely compatible with games thanks to the extra buttons (not just the snes buttons but ZL & ZR buttons too) and charge over usb-c instead of needing the switch or a special joycon dock to charge.

Anyone know whether games like High on Life, Contra, and Hifi Rush will be sold through LRG's Amazon store? Given the shipping issues with LRG, I'd just prefer Amazon.

Contra is numbered, and none of the other Konami games have been available on Amazon as shipped/sold by Amazon, so I'm guessing no. High of Life is a distro title, so I'd say there's a good chance. They haven't said anything about Hi-Fi Rush other than they're doing physicals, so who knows.

It has been five weeks since their web site said they received Enclave HD for PS5 and they still have not shipped my ordered. I asked support twice about my order and both times they just said it will ship and thanks for your patience. You will get a email confirmation when it ships. Like no shit. Why is it taking five weeks to ship a order for a game I ordered in October of 2022.

Pentiment is LRG numbered release so I would assume Hi-Fi Rush would be numbered as well.

Nah, Hi-Fi Rush is under the "distro" list. Expect it elsewhere

Yeah I would bet the same.

I've had my two orders from 2022 sitting in "Now Shipping" for almost 3 months now. Geez.
with in the last 2 month I'm still getting games in mail I ordered back in the summer of 2022

Email customer service if you haven’t already. I had one like that for almost 2 months and after emailing they got it moving again (granted, it still took over 2 weeks to get it but better than nothing).

After I got my last outstanding order from them, I wasn’t boycotting but I also was planning on being pretty critical of what I ordered. I haven’t ordered anything in like 6 months now, it’s just so easy to tune them out now. Occasionally there’s stuff like Contra that catches my eye, but I’m sure I’ll lose interest before preorders close. Also, with VGP and other avenues (even with a slightly higher cost) it’s not like they’re truly the only option to grab these games. It’s like the FOMO just evaporated from me.

You are looking at High on Life maybe? Hi-Fi Rush isn't on the site yet. They skipped Xbox #14, so I'm guess Hi-Fi Rush will be it.

The cure for FOMO with me was also just resisting purchases over a period of time. Not just LRG, but walking past a discount rack of games in a store and then walking away with nothing really helps keep my purchases more purposeful.
Yeah, I’ve found myself with that mindset as well lately. Not specifically with video games as much but especially with tabletop games. I used to have a gigantic collection and I’ve been whittling them down over the last 6 months or so, essentially I’ve swapped my shopping/buying compulsion with an eBay selling compulsion. Then when I do come across a deal I end up asking myself if it’s really something I want taking up space in my house.

Yeah. It's also helping that physical video game prices are rising, or that more mainstream/popular games are now releasing via these boutique labels meaning little to no chance these titles fall to $20, or below. This was always the goal with the digital-only push by these publishers/platform holders, and looks like they've finally crossed us over that line. Expecting more and more prestige/popular games to go this way. It'll pretty much price me out since I'm not buying into these higher prices/premiums the industry keeps demanding.

What really helps is that local Target, BB and WM barely have any games on their shelves as it is, outside of the latest major releases and some old stragglers.

But that didn't help me because I've just been buying more retro games and paying out the ass for them.

The only FOMO I feel with LRG is with an Xbox release I might be interested in. It will not be sold at any other retailer. It's one and done. I don't care for many of the large CE versions though. I don't need 4 fake retro cases for one new game.

Side note: I got a shipping notice for my first of two 2022 orders. Yay.

Also, Strictly is such a mess. I can't wait to be down with them.
Lucky. They still haven't shipped my order. It will be six week in stock in two days.

I'm also done with Strictly Limited I have two open orders with them and hopeful that I will receive both sometime this year.

The getter of games is likely a good fit for Doug.

I hope they to bring good stuff to physical and not go for volume of plastic garbage filled CEs.

Just. Release. Games. And in a timely, reliable fashion. If you do that, you're beating the rest of the industry right now.

Good luck, Doug. And keep a healthy distance from social media.

I'm also done with Strictly Limited. I'm still waiting on Ray’z Arcade Chronology, Dariusburst CS Core +SEGA +TAITO Pack, Eschatos, Irem Collection Volume 2, and Akai Ito & Aoi Shiro HD Remaster. They keep having sales, bundles, and selling their stuff at playasia. Seems like they are desperately trying to make money fast. They keep taking preorders for new releases even though they haven't released anything for a long time.

Watching the downfall of SLG has been a bummer. They genuinely felt like the most earnest in their efforts when this was getting started and it definitely felt like things got away from them on a grand scale.
