The first I heard of Rotastic was when I started receiving press emails about it two months back. I saw brightly colored screens, a cartoon Viking, and a lazy-eyed moose head. In other words, the game’s ridiculousness caught my eye. And every time a new press release landed in my inbox, Shaggy’s opus Boombastic would get stuck in my head. That song has absolutely nothing to do with the game, mind you, but I figured I’d pass that affliction along to you, the reader. Plus it sets up this convenient question: will you say this game’s fantastic, touch it on it’s back, say it’s Ro…oh…oh…tastic?

I spend about an hour and a half each week talking into a microphone to make a CAGcast with CheapyD and Wombat. Thankfully, some people enjoy listening to us and so they often inquire about equipment to use for starting their own podcasts. While my main mic is a Samson C03U, that may be a bit more than people want to invest in when they are just getting started - especially once you factor in buying a stand, shock mount, and pop filter. I’m not sure how it happened… well, it was probably a combination of watching too much iCarly along with foreign animation like Ponyo and The Secret of Kells… but one day something called Pucca: Kung Fu Kisses showed up in my Netflix suggested list. And so I watched a couple episodes and got up to speed on this Korean-made international icon. Pucca is a ninja girl who has the immediate cuteness appeal of Hello Kitty (with the copious amounts of merchandise to back it up), but her and her friends also have adventures with Powerpuff Girl-style action and humor. I totally get how little girls would eat this stuff up, but is this DS game something they will swoon over or are you better off putting the money towards stickers and pencil cases?
