amazon.com has Gran Turismo: 5 Prologue for $39.99 preorder.

Edit: According to members of SD, they did the same with Gran Turismo 4: prologue by selling it for cheaper before releasing the full game later on.

Well, to be honest, it's hard for people to be outraged about something once they know the facts. And it takes more effort to dig up facts than be outraged. ;)

It's only 3 tracks IIRC (might be 4), so the $40 price is the MSRP.

Its basically a glorified demo... sorta. Basically "hey look how cool this is!!! and the full game will have even more stuff (once it's done)!!!"

And yes, $40 is MSRP on this.

I think it's 5 tracks and like 30 cars. Not horrid, but nothing that I'd want.

Only worth it if you're a GT nut (like me).

Looks great though, good way to show off the ps3. If you don't wanna buy all the cars and crap, you can download a completed game save and just race all the cars in arcade mode.
