I grabbed a rock band tshirt (which was marked at 14.99 with a 70% off sticker) and took it to the front. When it took it to the register, it rang up at 4.99, which the sales associate then applied the 70% off to to bring it down to $1.50 before tax. Ended up being 1.62 out the door. Of course YMMV in case they argue that the 4.99 price was with the 70% applied but if that was the case it would be something like 4.50 so you should be able to argue that 70% needs to be applied on top of it.
