GS/EB Coupon/Used Deal of the Week FAQs - thanks oscargrouch
  • Coupon is valid in store (B&M Locations) only, it does not work online.
  • Just print the coupon, not the whole ad.
  • Coupon can be printed from this thread by right clicking on the image, selecting view image, then pressing print.
  • Coupon DOES NOT stack with any other offer, except EDGE cards.
  • Coupon will be valid on the start date of the weekly ad, not earlier. (YMMV on if the employees will do manual override, not recommended.)
  • The EDGE card takes 10% from the original price of the Used Deal of the Week, not the promotional price.
  • Used Deal of the Week is considered a promotion so it will ONLY stack with the EDGE Card, nothing else.

These wordy coupons are beginning to piss me off. Not making it easy to abbreviate for forum title.

Anybody know if the coupon will work if we preorder and pay in full B:AA or just put a $5 deposit? It'd be lame to wait till the 25th to use the coupon and not be guaranteed the "exclusive EB" maps.

Off topic question about Batman:AA do you think paying full price with in-store credit and the GS bonus maps are a better deal than getting it at TRU for $45.00 plus tax in cash (I have $15.00 in TRU coupons) and than setting a $30.00 gift card for a future game(GH5)?

I really hope this isn't going to be a new trend with their coupons was Madden before and now Batman arghh. I mean yeah Batman seems like it maybe a good game in all.. but these coupons to having to buy something else to use it. Is really starting to get on my nerves. Oh well though I probably wouldn't of used this week's coupon anyway since I'm picking up Mana Khemia 2 at Gamestop next week.

I'd rather get it at TRU. The bonus map should be available on xbox live just like the wolverine bonus was.

TRU all the way! Funny how you have exactly the same bonus dollars I do but I also have $10 more to use beginning 9/1 so that plus the $30 can make a good dent in another newer game.

Geez. Although 25% is better than the usual 20% we've had recently, this is three weeks in a row where it required another purchase just to get a discount. I'm ordering Batman from Amazon. And there's several games I want to get used (Prototype and Infamous in particular) with some spare credit I have at GS. This coupon trend is BS.

To me , the two things that suck about these new coupons are that 1)the coupons are supposed to be for the whole week , but the madden one and this one couldn't be used until the end of the week they were sent out , which makes them kinda useless. and 2)limiting it to having to purchase a specific item to get the discount. At least last weeks pre-order coupon gave a few games to choose from , and only required you to put down $5 on it , not the full cost.

Anyone else thinking that GS must be trying to get in good favor with some of the game companies by encouraging new game sales with some of these coupons?

Speaking of pre-orders , I'm sure I already know the answer to this question , but to move a pre-order from one game to another , you can do that at any GS , not just the one where the pre-order was originally placed correct?

It's a LOT like the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors games. If you like them , it wouldn't hurt to at least give the game a try. You'll probably know whether you like the game or not within the 7 day used games return window.

Nope, where you make the pre-order is where you have to cancel the pre-order.

Sorry about the date screw up guys, wasn't paying attention.

Dear GS,

Thanks for another terrible coupon. I didn't set foot in a GameStop once last week
and it saved me a lot of money. In comparison, when the coupon was 25% with
no restrictions, I went to four GameStop stores and bought lots of games. I want
to personally thank you by encouraging me to stay home and save my money.

Thanks!

:applause:

I'm in the exact same boat. Without the purchasing requirements I would be dropping tons of money in their stores. Much of it on games which probably would have sat on their shelves for months otherwise. These coupons aren't even slightly tempting. I hope they see this reflected in their sales.

Indeed... It appears GS has decided that selling off the stock overflowing in their stores in preparation for the holiday season is not a good thing. One can only wonder why...

I did make one purchase using the coupon last week and now have to switch my Professor Layton preorder to something else as I'm not paying the $5 GS DS "tax" on that when I can get it from Amazon for considerably cheaper (been waiting for gold box but even without that, assuming the ECA codes come back it is a much better deal than GS).

It's all right. Graphics are pretty good, controls well, voice work leaves much to be desired. Heard the achievements suck to get. Gameplay is decent, but boring. As usual in these types of games, you level, there are a ton of combos and you can find some items(I haven't played far) to give it an rpg feel. In the end, the fighting is too button mashy with no strategy required(and it really doesn't matter what units you bring with you, it's not like they ever ATTACK) and just a lot of running through an open space just to get to the next enemy.

Not great, but if you're interested that's a good price.

These coupons are Gamestop's economic stimulus plan. We all save money by not using them.

Cause I'm sick of seeing ghosts, and I know how it's all gonna end

There's no triumph waiting, there's no sunset to ride off in

We all want to be great men, there's nothing romantic about it

I just want to know that I did all I could with what I was given

I just want to sell out my funeral.

I just want to be enough for everyone.
