What the hell? This conversation was just had!
In Bruges - Quite great. When the film was out in theaters, I mocked my friend for liking it. I told him he just enjoyed being pompous about having actually been there. I'm not convinced that's untrue, but it is a good movie.
Sweeney Todd - I don't dislike Tim Burton, but this movie was really a bit much, particularly early on. But I got used to it, and enjoyed the film. The blood is neat - it's too opaque, so it looks like blood from 70s slasher movies.
Charlie Wilson's War - Pretty good, and appropriately creepy. Philip Seymour Hoffman is awesome. I was a little worried it wasn't going to acknowledge how screwed up the area is, in part thanks to the events of the movie. It did, but maybe not quite enough.
The Rocker - Surprisingly, this movie didn't suck. A lot of reviews say it's a worse version of School of Rock, but I haven't seen that. It doesn't actually try for a ton of laughs, but the plot and the characters were entertaining enough. At least I now have a reason for owning that Rock Band Song. Speaking of Rock Band, you'd think if they're going through the trouble of a tie-in, they might make the game screen somewhat realistic?
Appaloosa - A straight, simple, western. A lot of the plot relies on Renée Zellweger's character, and since she's a bitch, the movie's not too satisfying. It has a final monologue that feels a little tacked on and explanatory. The closing credits are great.
Run Fatboy Run - "Five years after jilting his pregnant fiancée on their wedding day, out-of-shape Dennis decides to run a marathon to win her back." - IMDB. Well, the movie is not as bad as that synopsis would have you assume. That's about it. And who does Hank Azaria look like?! Drove me crazy the entire movie (and it isn't Moe or Wiggum).
Glory at Sea - You can download it there from the official website, or you can stream it here. It's a 25 minute short set in a post-Katrina/Apocalypse New Orleans. It's... artsy. I was lead to it by a Google Chrome ad on Hulu, that features a tune from the original soundtrack of the movie, which is really great.
Rosemary's Baby - A great movie, to be sure, but I don't know if I can lump it in with horror. I think it was more along the lines of Hitchcockian suspense that anything else.
The Ruins - Stupid sexy coeds! The first half is really tight and suspenseful. The latter half, once the killer is revealed, devolves into the torture porn popular in today's horror movies. Worth a watch for horror fans.

Iron Man - Meh. Showndown with Warmonger left alot to be desired. The fight was predictable. Chuckled at the Stan Lee cameo.
Bangkok Dangerous - Predictable. It was painful to watch the awkward romantic scenes. It would've been cool if he had killed the 2 muggers without her ever noticing.

Commando
One of my favourite Arnie movies. It's so ridiculously fun.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die. "

Zombieland- 9/10- Really enjoyed the rules and text showing up in the film and narration. Overall good zombie movie but I didn't like the excessive, gratuitous violence/gore during the first 10 min.

On the other hand , both A Christmas Carol and 2012 were far better than I expected either to be.
A Christmas Carol was a pretty good take on the classic story , even if it didn't try anything new (fine by me). Jim Carey handled Scrooge well. You probably wouldn't even know it was him if you didn't know going in. Only weak point for me was a chase sequence during the meeting of Ghost of Christmas Future , which seemed kinda forced into the movie. There were also had a couple scenes that might be a bit bothersome for younger children (Scrooge at home before meeting the ghosts , the end of Christmas Present).
2012 was a pretty cool disaster flick that was only hurt but it's dull final chapter , and that not enough iconic landmarks were destroyed.

Don't most zombie films feature excessive, gratuitous violence?

Blade Runner - Fantastic. I can't wait to watch it again in the future.
My favourite of all time. Which cut did you watch?
Christine 1957 Plymouth Fury is SUCH a nice car. My favourite.
Goodfellas Love this film one of my favourite Scorsese pictures.
Jurassic Park Surprisingly the special effects still hold up really well today.
