even though I didn't pre-order it.

I think I'm going to go to GS and try to get a new CE in a few minutes.

I ended up pulling the trigger on it. I traded in Mass Effect PH (Bought for $10 from Kmart a few months back) and Super Mario Galaxy (Paid $25 for it a month or so ago) for $20 each towards RDR.

Yeah, I bit on it too, but the GS employee was a clever bastard. Asked me if I preordered, then when I said I didn't told me the collector's edition was only for people that preordered the game...unless I wanted to put $5 down on something. So I ended up preordering BlazBlue CS.

No, whenever they do these trade deals the trade in value of those games will be upped to 40 when they are traded towards the specific game for the promotion. If you have Edge it will be a little more because you'll get 10% of the base trade in value for the games added onto the 40. When I did it I ended up with 42.20 towards RDR. So without the promotion the 2 games I traded would have a TIV of 22.
