Windows Phone is Microsoft's new cell phone platform. It is meant to compete directly with the iPhone. All WP Phones must have certain standard features, but unlike the iPhone there are a variety of manufacturers and cell phone carriers. Most importantly for Xbox Live fans, WP7 has built-in Xbox Live integration and many games have full Live integration with Achievements. Please visit the CAG WP7 discussion thread for more Windows Phone 7 info.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! :)

Dark Lord Greg I think the HTC Arrive is a great phone except for the small screen. It's a shame WP7 QWERTY phones are all weak in the screen so far. Maybe Sprint will get a new model this fall.

Fighterspledge, just follow Zune links here: http://wp7applist.com/ and you can buy the game through Zune software on your PC. You can also just browse through the Zune program, but I find WP7applist is a lot easier to navigate. Anything you buy will be waiting for when you get your phone.

Yeah that my major problem with it, that and the 5MP camera both would be a downgrades from my HTC Evo 4G. Guess I will just have to wait

Great thread, thanks Eastx.

I think Frogger is ok at $1.99, but the controls game be a bit off. It's good thats there are trials for all the WP7 games.

I'm so happy that they are going to hold sales for wp7 games. While I've been holding off buying any apps at all (due to my Steam habits), I'm going to be tempted to pick up some games on sale. Definitely waiting for Rocket Riot and Glow Artisan, and possibly down the line, Plants vs Zombies and Angry Bird.

Anyone get Frogger yet? It looks harder than the 360 version lol...

Froggers not terrible. I woudn't pay anymore than 1.99 though.

Hope Project Sunburst goes on sale. I'd like that for 1.99.

Speaking of prices, I'm sure the drops will be like this....

6.99 -> 4.99

4.99 -> 2.99

2.99 -> 1.99

I just tried this and now it's saying I have to connect a device to purchase. So I guess I might be SOL then?

Great thread eastx.

Bought Frogger & Max and the Magic Marker.

Already have a good number of WP7 games: CarneyVale, de Blob, Flight Control, Flowerz, Fruit Ninja, Glow Artisan, I Dig It, iBlast Moki, ilomino, Pocket God, Project Sunburst, Puzzle Quest 2, Revolution, The Harvest, Tiki Towers.

Love getting achievements on em, and now that they have a weekly deal, thats even sweeter.
Now playing: Metro: Last Light, Remember Me, Luigi's Mansion 2 Dark Moon, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Not at this time, look for something Q4 of this year. The lastest update of the Zune software and some update to the phone hint at something happening in the future, but not right now.

Thanks! Fixed. Not sure whether it's better for the sale to change on Wednesday or not... I guess the XBLA sale starting on Monday lets people potentially spread their purchases out more instead of buying the new release *and* whatever's on sale on the same day. But heck, only having to check the Marketplace on one day (as with WP7) is nice too.

Awesome.. I am very happy to see this.. The drag is I had a win 7 phone for a week, switched from Verizon to Tmobile for that awsome HTC HD7 phone.. Such a sweet phone.. but Tmobile had zero coverage in my area-they failed to tell me that when I got it.. :( So back to verizon i went.. just waiting for verizon to get their S. together.

I have a windows phone 7 with just using wifi you don't need a sim card or data plan to start it up. Once you boot it up just turn on your wifi and you can go the marketplace and surf the web.
