The $169.99 will be the new retail price and the free games will be available as long as you login to the eshop by Aug 12th I think it is.How long will this last?

So you can buy it at Wal-Mart from the 9th-11th for the lower price and get the games, but after the 12th starts, it's just the price?
Correct. Though I would think you have until 11:59 to get the free games, but it hasn't really been clarified which games will be available when.
