Maybe I should take back my COD boycott? Graphics look like BO, so kinda mixed, as I didnt like the cartoony graphics.

I'm leaning heavily towards this game. It's a shame I won't be making the tournament in LA, wanted to try for that one.

Voucher for the hardened edition? Now I'm going to cry a river. The game has a ton of potential and if I could find a $20 GC from somebody like Walmart or Amazon I could probably not resist picking it up. I am interested to see more about the multiplayer though, as we know next to nothing about killstreaks, perks, even weapons and attachments. Also unknown is if the COD Points system has returned.

Shit, I just read more about the event. Paintball on real life scrapyard map. Geeze that might be worth it, how much is hardened edition anyway? 4 slots open for the $1M tourney for attendees (maybe a raffle or elimination tourney before hand - no specifics given yet). Basically the already invited tourney members are from COD BO...
If you really want to come out Mad, I am only about 45-60 minutes out from LA. You could crash on my couch if you want.

To be completely honest, the three people I had asked were completely unavailable. It's a 32 team single elimination with probably the qualifiers taking place on the 2nd and the finals on the 3rd. Without the three requested, I don't think I'd stand a chance remotely of winning and so it'd be an expensive investment for a Hardened Edition copy of MW3. I wanted a team to go all the way, unfortunately things didn't work out that way and so it'll be scrapped until the next tourney.Shit, I just read more about the event. I'm still iffy on MW3. Probably will wait until January-February when it's on sale for ~$35-40, like what I did with MW2. I just can't justify pre-ordering it.

Yes. Everyone that likes CoD must be a sheep. Nobody can just like the game because they think it's fun, right?
Hopefully this thread can stay on topic and not turn into a troll fest. The whole Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3 fanboy/troll wars has to be one of the lamest, saddest things I've ever witnessed in my entire life as a video game fan. Seriously.

I've never even played battlefield but yeah go ahead and babble about a fanboy war. I'm just dissapointed to see so many preorders when the last few COD were garb. MW3 isn't even being made by the same people so I don't know why people even would preorder such a game especially one were the best features are the unlockables. The gameplay is far and away one of the worst out there and i feel like gamers are pathetic when all they do is fall in line and get served another round of slop. It truely is a horrific newbfest and it should be a Wii only title cause its for casual gamers.

C'mon now everyone is entitled to their opinion but their are at least a few good or fun things about the Call of Duty series. It seems the hate train has reared its ugly head against CoD now, when it used to be for Halo. Again anyone can dislike the game, but constructive criticism is always better.

Haha nah, I've learned to stop taking video games so seriously. I'm just getting BF3 and trying to build a new computer, for MW3 isn't really in my budget.

Who was complaining again? Oh, that guy...the one who does on any and every MW thread. Pass the Haterade please. It's just a game, get over it. You think it sucks, yeah for you. Obviously there are millions (and millions of the Rock's fans) who don't think so.
Back to the point....I'm on the fence. BO was a let down and this is a new group doing this. I know I am getting Dark Souls, not sure what is next after that.

I'm down on getting it. I was totally shocked that Black Ops sold well as it did.
Just shows how strong the franchise is. I skipped World at War and Black Ops. Planning on jumping back on with MF3. Looks amazing, much more of a upgrade to the series vs a mod to a pre-existing game.
And yes, I"m buying BF3 as well. Telling u, spending about $400 -$500 in games... with a day job and g/f, its hard to juggle.

Zombie mode in BLOPS is good, and i find S&D in BLOPS to be pretty good, but the netcode is pure trash in the game. Skipping right past BF3, online code means i cant take it to other peoples places and play it on their systems, so they can take their game and shove it.
