Battlefield 3 is Origin only. Rage I've heard both steamworks and GFWL but no one knows for sure yet.

Anybody know if they charge you right away when you pre-order? I already have Rage pre-ordered from New Egg for $48 but I'm thinking about switching to this deal to save a few bucks and get it on release instead of having to wait 3 days.
