I can't get my iPod to charge or play. It shows up in iTunes, and is able to be read outside of iTunes and the music is synced just won't charge or play. Can anyone help?

On the top of the ipod, make sure the slider is on the on position. I don't know if thats the problem but It took me a while to figure that out :(.
Maybe try a restore if that doesn't work.
I did the slider and a restore and a reset and tried 3 computers and there is no response at all. Thank you thiugh
