Haven't really seen this deal discussed too much when I checked the other GS threads. I think the 6+ deal is really good on DS games if you pick the right ones. Yes, you are going to get cartridge only in-store and probably online too, but I couldn't resist grabbing a ton of DS games for super cheap.

Here is a link to the qualifying game page:

http://www.gamestop....s,13ffff2418-50

If you can't order it online, I'd suggest checking in store as they tend to have a pretty decent selection.

Thanks to billytwoshoes and straight edge follower for this info:

If you want to buy something more expensive or need filler check your store for Link's Crossbow Training (.49 cents) or Wii Fit (Disc only) as you can buy multiples of those to get you over the 6 threshold. Works great for buying some of the pricier Wii or DS games.

Some highlights IMO:

Dementium I and II:

http://www.gamestop....-the-ward/66454

http://www.gamestop....entium-ii/75951

Touch Detective 1 and 2.5:

http://www.gamestop....detective/61371

http://www.gamestop....ive-2-1-2/66369

Brain Age 1 and 2:

http://www.gamestop....tes-a-day/43200

http://www.gamestop....tes-a-day/65467

Hotel Dusk: Room 215:

http://www.gamestop....-215-used/64220

And the list could go on and on.

If you are getting a DS/3DS or know someone who will be getting one for Christmas now would be a good time to stock up. Have a more expensive game in mind? Combine it with some cheap ones and they all get the discount if you meet the number requirements.

It was worth it to me alone for Dementium 1 and 2 (I found 1 online, 2 in store).

I was planning on getting Brain Age 1+2 soon. Looks like I’ll be saving 50 cents :) Not complaining, it’s better than nothing. There weren’t many others that interested me in particular, but the scenarios of buying a more expensive title with cheaper ones is interesting.

Not a bad idea at all for more expensive games. Spend $1.40 (5 x .40 x .7) and get 30% off something in the $30 to $50 range.

Now only issue is if a store has that many in stock.

I was told in store that it does and that I would get 40% off total if I signed up for. I don't buy used at GS too often so I didn't sign up and can't confirm, but that is what they told me.

I hear ya. Been looking for to grab these for some time, finally found some new copies at a decent price this week. One of the greatest series on the DS without question.

I was not a fan of what little I've played of Touch Detective though.

I was wondering why I got the 10% off yesterday at GS when I bought A Boy and his Blob and Wii Fit, thought it was a mistake on the clerk thinking I was a PUR member. I've been buying a good amount of Wii Fit titles recently for replacement / extra cases (and a random chance the CN codes are still valid) and selling the games, now I'm debating on buying five copies with one game I really would like.

Also just to confirm again, Link's Crossbow Training is $0.49, but it won't be listed on their website, so you would have to call your local to see how many copies they have.

I actually liked the first Touch Detective but I can see it not being for everyone.

And I actually had not heard of Dementium until I saw it in store and then looked it up on my phone. Sounded right up my alley so I bought II there and then was lucky they had I for order online (along with some cheapo stuff).

THANK YOU OP and Billytwoshoes!! Scored a MINT Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade (like new-- discs are excellent, just have to goo gone the stickers).

Bought those two and 3 copies of wii fit and 1 of link's crossbow training for $72ish after taxes. Had two trades which brought it down to $57. Kid looked at me like I was crazy, then he continued to watch my total go down from $100+... Awesome deal for these games. I just scored a WiiU using their trade in promos so I'm really looking forward to playing these.

Probably going to use this again next week with SMG2, Last Story and Kirby. Again, I would have never know about this promo without the thread, nor the Wii Fit/Links Crossbow.

Wow, that's a pretty awesome score. Looks like the Wii Fit/Link's fillers make this a sweet deal for rare Wii or DS games if you can find them.

The three stores near me do not do this... so I'm guessing this is either YMMV, or by district manager?

Thanks for the info Fox. I'm sitting with a cart with Hotel Dusk, Pokemon Black 2, and some lesser titles for 30 shipped, still trying to figure out if my love of Pokemon is enough to counter the fact I hardly touched the first one. I'm willing to take a gamble on carts, since I don't have a Gamestop anywhere near here.

However, I'd strongly advise against buying used discs from them online, at least based on my own personal experience. I only made that mistake once honestly, what I received was in such horrific condition I didn't ever want to try again. The ironic thing is, in spite of water damage, brown substances, and scratches galore, the discs *did* at least work... but the 3DS game sent in the same shipment *didn't*.

Edit: They got in Dual Strike back to their online site, which pushed me to go ahead and buy! I lost that game *years* ago, and have been meaning to replace it all this time... doing so for about 6 bucks was great!

They also added Contact(full price $5), Spirit Tracks(full price $20), and I think Super Princess Peach and Mario and Luigi PiT. Thanks again!

Just got back from the closest Gamestop that had Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade Chronicles in stock. Those two along with :ds: Okamiden + 3 Wii Fits were $57.74 after tax.

Thanks for the post and cheap game suggestions everyone. I don't know when I'll get a Wii or Wii U but the Ebay prices of these games pushed me to buy them using this deal.

I see prime 59.99 , xenoblade 44.99 and okamiden 17.99 equals 123$ minus 30% = 86.10$ how did you get it for 57.74?????

Samba De Amigo is another good 99 cent filler if your store has it.

I picked up...

Fortune Street
DanceDanceRevolution I (I collect DDRs games)
Guilty Party
Dewy's Adventure
Furu Furu Park
Monkey King: The Legend Begins

for about 30 bucks. I wanted some DS games, but the store I was in was pretty lacking.

To help people find the best Wii games (my DS knowledge is lacking), I've gathered a list of the better games to choose, in different categories (thanks to the above posters for their unknowing suggestions), with base prices shown before the discounts:

High Dollar / Very Flippable Games (may be hard to find most of these):
Metroid Prime Trilogy, $59.99
Xenoblade Chronicles, $44.99
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, $44.99 (not super great, but good with 30% off)
Oregon Trail, $14.99 (they go for around $30-50 on Ebay)
Kirby's Return to Dream Land, $44.99 (will pretty much match Ebay right now, but at least you get to check the condition first hand in-store)
Walk it Out, $9.99 (goes for around $30-40 on Ebay)
Dokapon Kingdom, $29.99 (hard to find, but gold if you happen to do so)
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, $39.99 (easier to find, though still somewhat challenging)
Tales of Symphonia, Dawn of the New World, $19.99 (this price seems to be rising, not too hard to find)
Rune Factory, Tides of Destiny, $19.99
One Piece Unlimited Adventure, $39.99 (another difficult one to find)
Godzilla Unleashed, $29.99 (can go for around $50 if the condition is good)
There are other more obscure yet high value games, (Exerbeat, My Horse and Me, Calling, etc.) but they are mostly non-existant in GS nowadays.

Great Games for Under $10 (tons here, just posting my personal highlights with significantly better prices than Ebay):
Metroid Prime 3, $4.99
Kirby's Epic Yarn, $9.99
A Boy and his Blob, $6.99
Guilty Party, $7.99
Blast Works, $3.99
Battalion Wars 2, $7.99
Dawn of Discovery, $9.99
SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1, $6.99
Zack and Wiki, $6.99
The Kore Gang, $6.99
Klonoa, $9.99
Muramasa: The Demon Blade, $9.99
Metal Slug Anthology, $9.99
Chocobo's Dungeon, $9.99
Shiren the Wanderer, $9.99
Centipede Infestation, $4.99
Geometry Wars: Galaxies, $4.99

Filler / Dirt Cheap Games to reach the 6 game threshold:
Wii Fit (Game Only), $0.99
Link's Crossbow Training (not listed online, in-store only), $0.49
Samba de Amigo, $0.99
The Monkey King, $1.99
Mercury Meltdown Revolution, $1.99 (highly recommend this one)

After finding out that there’s a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy at my store (on hold for me), this deal has become more interesting to me. If I can find a copy of Samba de Amigo (thanks for the tip, Gosha), I’ll buy that to keep rather than as a ‘filler’. I’m hoping I can score these then:

Brain Age 1 - $2
Brain Age 2 - $3
Flash Focus - $2
Samba de Amigo - $1
One filler game – 50 cents/$1

Metroid Prime Trilogy - $60

I know they have both Brain Age games and my copy of Metroid, hopefully the other ones are there since I actually want these games. Mulling over if I want to replace my filler game with something worthwhile but not sure what I’d want.

If you don't have Feel The Magic for DS that is another good one and should be .99 cents.

Also, just browsing the DS case should show some cheapos you can grab on a whim, good luck.

My trip was not quite as good as I had hoped, but still a success. The workers at my local Gamestop were very aware of the deal, and in fact have been throwing in copies of Link’s Crossbow Training and Wii Fit with purchases in order to help people out (they added 3 Wii Fits to the order ahead of me).

I grabbed Metroid Prime Trilogy, Brain Age 2, Samba De Amigo, and three Wii Fits. I was holding two Link’s Crossbow Training cases, but they said I couldn’t buy them since they actually sold the last two but had left the cases on the shelf. I was like “can I buy it anyways??” but they couldn’t sell a game that the system didn’t recognize as ‘there’. I asked about Brain Age 1 and Flash Focus, and the worker said they had sold them both earlier that day because they’ve been recommending cheap titles to get for this promo. It’s cool that they are knowledgeable and willing to help customers save money, but sucks for me because I really wanted those two games. Still super psyched though, since I saved 30% then another 10% on top of that with PUR.

And speaking of Feel the Magic, they are converting any new copies of the game to used starting today, so there may be more of them out there now. They were sold out of used copies yesterday but they had a small stack ready to sell tomorrow for this promo.
