http://www.shoprunner.com

If you're a new member just sign up and use the promo code RUNNER to get one year of ShopRunner for free. When you sign up you don't even have to give them a credit card number and it's automatically set to "do not renew".

I'm not sure how long they'll have this deal up for. ShopRunner is free 2-day shipping that's good at sites like Newegg, Radioshack, Toys R Us and Pet Smart (the whole list of participating retailers is on the site). I know this might not TECHNICALLY be a video game deal, but Newegg and Toys R Us do sell video games so I figured some of you might appreciate this.

Can you use ShopRunner on games? I thought you couldn't. There was been one of these deals before and I passed on it cuz it didn't provide free shipping for games. (I could be remembering wrong or they may have changed their terms....)

Thanks OP. I did this just for newegg again. You can sign up for another free year as long as you use a different email address.

I believe you can. I had a free 30-day trial of ShopRunner back in 2010 and I ordered some games from Toys R Us which worked fine. I'd assume it still does unless they've changed it (I can't say with certainty however).

whats the catch

None from what I've seen. You don't have to give them your credit card information (it's listed as optional, so don't bother giving it to them) and it's not set to automatically renew. If there's a catch I don't see it. Maybe they're just desperate for new customers? LOL

Yeah, this was completely useless for TRU, but I used it on Newegg for several orders.

Edit: Hey, look, the gmail dot trick works.

Yeah, ShopRunner is fantastic for newegg, especially if you're building a new PC, or if you're buying PC parts in general.

The one thing I hate about shoprunner is the one store I would use the most excludes a lot of there stuff for free shipping!!! Damn you TRU... I picked up another year, thanks!

Oh it doesn't work for Toys R Us? Sorry about that, it worked fine a couple years ago, but I didn't know they changed it since then.

I signed up last year. Didn't use it as much as I did Amazon prime but it did come in handy for newegg orders and my wife used it a few times. Definitely worth it for free even if you don't wind up using it much.

BTW, they extended my free year through 12/31 (got an extra few months) and offered a discount on signing up for another year. So you might get more than a year if you take advantage of it now. YMMV.

TRU only allows it on certain things. I would buy two things from TRU... the occassional video game deal, and Lego. Lego is massively overpriced at TRU and video games are never included for shoprunner.

Getting the free year seems to be working without a hitch this time around. When this offer came around at the same time last year, I remember there being all kinds of issues.

To be honest, I felt like it was useless for Newegg for me, since just about everything I've ordered would have had free shipping anyways and the items didn't get to me any faster.

2 day? BS. The stuff never arrived any faster than 3 days. For me, not worth renewing.

Thanks for the heads up. I am a big fan of Newegg, and the free 2 day shipping would be useful for me, especially if the item comes from the California distribution center instead of the New Jersey distribution center.
Wii U!?! I don't think you could possibly give a game console a worse name!!!
