Upgrading PS3 HDD

Should I go for 1 TB 5400 RPM, or 750 GB 7200 RPM drive? Both are about same price.

I would match the specs of the current HDD in the PS3. Pointless in going for a faster RPM if the PS3 doesn't utilize it (I don't know if it does or not). But I would suggest just go with the 1TB.

These are my thoughts. I am looking to do the same as well.

I found some more info on RPM here. Looks like 7200 RPM does make a slight difference in load times and produces slightly more heat.

a lot of people recommend sticking with 7200rpm to keep the heat down, but 7200 rpm will make it a bit faster

This one has 1TB and 7200 RPM, only $90. I wonder if it would work.
