Sounds good. Although the only Unreal games I have played are Unreal Tournament on PC and DC, I think a good console FPS can really help a system stand out and build their online gaming presence.

I gotta agree as far as this one goes. Those who buy the console version are going to get slighted because there is so much extra shit that the fans have made that they won't get to experience due to the game being on a console.

i think it is good for sony to help build there online presence. I hope epic makes the servers halfway decent though, cause if they Fuck that up, it will ruin any chance of building up sony's weak ass online play they currently have.

Not everyone has the money to invest in PCs that can run the very latest FPS though. Although the console player misses out on maps, skins, and mods they have the trade-off of knowing that they don't have to upgrade hardware, there is no extensive configuration process, and the game shouldn't need constant patching (to be fair though this may change as Halo 2 was patched for the online component).

Well... look at it this way. 99% of everyone here already has a computer. Even a the craptacular $600 PCs are good enough to run most games. You sink the 400 you would have spent on a 360 into the PC and you have an even better rig. The only thing consoles have for them is ease of use. Something that PC developers are hoping to change.

The arguement has been done to death... but as a quick recap- Word processors, email, web, games, mods, patches, freeware, porn, porn mods, porn games... If a PC can't porn it ... do it... You don't need it.

I just think that the market is viable enough for PC and console versions. I do admit though, when the DC version of Quake III came out I loved it, but eventually I wanted more and got the PC version later so I do understand your point. :)

People have enough resources (review sites, magazines) today to know which version is best for them. I think ease of use is the main reason that some people still would buy a console version. I prefer PC versions whenever possible but as long as the console version is done well, I can dig that too.

Unreal Tournament 2007 will likely be the best PS3 launch title.
