is there any way to turn BMP files to JPEG

i been downloading some pictures for a paper i was doing last month and everything seemed to download as JPEG BUT now when i got to the site when i hit copy picture it only shows BMF file even though the end of the page name is . JPG


anyone know what is causing this, and anyone know how i can get it to download in JPG ....

Open it in MSPaint or Photoshop and save it as a .jpg. Paint saves them in a crappy format, though.

thanks right after you posted someone came over and told me to move the files to paint then resave them.... dont really care about how good the picture looks for since its just for a research paper : )

Just change the extension...

Delete .bmp and change it to .jpeg
