With rumors of PS3 delays until 2007 why wouldn't SOny just come and say 2007 drop ps2 to 99 dollars and defend against microsoft this way until 2007. I know with God of War going GH, devil may cry and 100 or more other title greatest hits now, why not say ps2 is 99 dollars and free greatest hit title, I am sure they will sell a couple of extra consoles based on 100 dollars gets you the console and a game like Devil May Cry or God of War that a non ps2 owner has probally been wanting to own. If someone could have got me to believe how great God of War , Devil may cry and Ace Combat 5 was I would have bought a PS2 along time ago.

I trust that given the actual circumstances, which only they know, they will decide accordingly.
If they are going to be moving as much of their manufacturing process from PS3 to PS2 as they can, theres little need to drop the price on PS2 in the same way theres little need to drop the price on xbox 1. With no more coming to market, the supplies are limited, might as well make that extra buck.
