It is a physical, plastic giftcard that is shipped to your home. I got mine a few days ago, so it took about a week.
As far as I know you can buy an e-gift card with the gift card you already have, I just like to have a physical card when it is a large amount of money. Makes it harder to get...
Yeah so here's what they would do at the physical store:
1. Scan a new (unused) physical gift card. It will ask "New gift card? 1- Yes 2- No"
2. They hit Yes and it asks for an amount. They enter the exact amount you have on your e-giftcard
3. They hit "Total".
4. For payment, they choose...
Yeah so that's a huge bitch. So for example the gift card doesn't print right and under where the barcode SHOULD be (it's a empty image symbol, the X in two boxes) there's a long number like 874586227890006096692404533690. The gift card number comes after those 3 zeroes so it would be...
Oh god someone tell me this isn't system-wide? My store is having difficulty printing the barcodes for trade-in gift cards too. Makes it so we have to frigging enter the card manually...
If anyone has questions about the trade-in process, I got you guys.
I'm a CompSci student who works in probably the only good electronics department in any Walmart ever. Trust me I know how frustrating it can be.
Clearance prices could vary if the store's dept manager sets the prices differently. There are usually recommended costs for many items, but some stores may have different clearance pricing.
It depends where you go, but these are some sick deals if other Walmarts mark the stuff down that much...
Sorry to hear you guys are having shitty experiences. Everyone at my local Walmart does the trade ins without any problems. Kind of makes me want to check out a different one nearby to see how the other ones are doing. It's a new thing and as far as I've seen there hasn't been any official...
So I bought a Xbox One refurb from Gamestop 10 days ago, and I got the 1 year warranty thingy on it. Is there something I can do to get that $50 back now that it's free?..
Lmao yeah it's super simple. If ANYONE runs into a electronics or connections associate who says they don't know how to, get them to try it anyways. It's almost exactly the same as the CExchange website, just you have to enter some more info and do a print out.
Mostly a combination of 1 and where I work, being awesome. Not all Walmart electronics sections are staffed by people who don't know or care about the department they work in!
I work with a number of people going to college full time for CompSci or IT, and some of the others are huge video...
I believe trade-ins should be doable at any time the store is open, so long as there's someone in electronics or someone willing to help that isn't totally dumb. The system's very easy to use.
EDIT: The person may need a certain employee level to access the trade-in system. So if you have to...
They try their darnest to make it stupid and simple for us. One thing I will say though is that the computers I use are absolutely AWFUL, so exercise some patience when it comes to that. Mine freeze up and fail on a regular basis, in addition to making me use a trackball that sticks and a...
