what are some of the benefits of getting this hd dvd player when the xbox 360 already plays dvds.... cheap movies.... less wear and tear on the xbox?

Question for yall.... just picked up the xbox 360 kung-fu panda & lego indiana jones bundle.... thinking about getting Fable 2 or GOW 2 ... is that a good deal? I have never sold my games on line before and the 2 mentioned come in one case, so i figure its my only option... *side note* what...
