My local craigslist has people trying to sell deluxe systems for $600 or more. Hope nobody falls for it, because I was in Walmart buying something else today and strolled through electronics to see multiple deluxe and basic systems in the case for sale.

The Target I went to wasn't like that at all. I talked with a guy in electronics for a while who has been there for several launches, and he said they would definitely hold them for 7 days.

To be honest, I'll be surprised if I can't stroll into a local store and pick up a console on Monday. I don't know if it's just my area, but the fact that there were 3 of the original 5 deluxe preorder cards available at one Target and numerous basic preorder cards at several stores just last...

I would be sure to check each individual store to see what is going on with the launch. I've seen several posts about the number of consoles that will be available from Best Buy, but my local store said they would only get in the number to cover preorders and get an other shipment 1-3 weeks...

As far as the "base units", I could still get 10 preorder cards from area Target stores for those today if I wanted to. Not sure what that means for walking in and picking up units on launch day, though.

Not sure why anyone would be trying to "flip" these. The guy I talked to at Best Buy said he was expecting to get a ton in between the launch and Christmas. Though I guess there are always people willing to pay more than retail to get them a couple of weeks sooner

One Walmart in town told us they would probably only have 7 or 8 of them, another said they owuld probably get about 75

It's been two weeks since my response to their first one, so I guess it's time to go ahead and plan out my next (useless) move.

How long did it take for them to reply after the first time? I'm wondering how long I should wait before assuming they're not going to bother giving me a second "you cheated" email.

I'm not sure if responding to the original "you cheated" email does any good or not. I replied with some information that I'm pretty sure would trigger a follow-up if they actually read it, and I haven't heard anything 2 weeks later. I'm not sure how long I should give them before filing...

That would be news to me, and I certainly hope it's not true. I would imagine they would need to change the TOS to enforce this (if they haven't already -- I never look at it)

It came in, but unfortunately I'm too lazy to take pictures and upload them =/ (we've already tossed the generic packaging too, though it didn't come with any instructions other than the software discs) I can tell you though, that it's just your basic netbook -- slow processor and tiny screen...
