This is exactly my experience lately. Even exclusive sets, limited edition ones, hard-to-find minifigures and more are selling far slower than they once did. I still buy smaller sets that I find interesting, but I've cut back significantly on buying as an investment. They're great fun to build...

Yeah absolutely. I remember at the time I was just starting my shipping service to Canada so I think in total we had three of them. The price of them skyrocketed and the people I helped get them were super fortunate to get them at cost :).
