The flicker you see could be the PS3 switching resolutions. And the reason you don't see it when putting in a bluray movie is because it doesn't need to switch resolutions, depending on which resolution you have set your PS3 on. If the PS3 is set to 1080i, it won't need to switch resolution...

I too have never played card games, but this have left me intrigued. It does sound a bit cumbersome with the camera and everything though, and I don't think I have a good place for the "board" either. The videos from this game are damn cool though :)

Have you considered this? Doesn't microwaves produce frequencies at the same band (2.4GHz)?

I have yet to experience this issue. But as someone said, couldn't it be the controller itself which is the problem? Difficult to test though, as it would require you to buy a new controller or borrow from a friend.
