I had no problem using the two $200 gift cards I got from trading two iPads in toward the purchase of an iPad Air.

I live in Delaware, so no sales tax for me. I imagine there would be tax on the $479 purchase in states that have sales tax, and then the gift cards would be subtracted from that total.
