If you are an employee or possibly even a former employee, you signed some legal boiler plate that probably gives them cause for banning you if they so choose. If you use "insider knowledge" to purposefully harm their business in ways you are aware of promised not to do based on your former...
I'm pro-Ron Workman and I'd probably give his podcast a few shots to catch my interest.
Also, I appretiate Speedy's efforts over the years. He probably influenced THOUSANDS of my purchase dollars. Thanks, Speedy and godspeed on your new job hunt!
I just got around to kicking in my $50 for the fundraiser. Sorry to hear its not going as well as last year. Its a tough year for fund raising. I've seen several articles to that effect in the last couple months.
I've tried to temper my enthusiasm these days for stuff far on the horizon. Hype machines can ruin things, sometimes. With so much gaming available these days and so much in the back catalog, I don't have time to ride the hype machines. I just play games that are coming out and manage my...
I love Dyack. He entertains me. I hope his game does the same.
The reason he cares about message boards is because he seems to believe in Influence Marketing.
You can argue as to whether this is important in gaming marketing or not. Sometimes critically acclaimed games sell well, sometimes...
I have no sympathy for websites that pirate software. I buy software, they should to. Its INSANE to be stealing from the industry you are supposed to be covering/supporting.
Those guys can die in a fire. Theft is theft and its worse for industry media to be doing/supporting/promoting it.
Gents, I've been dismissing JRPGs for quite some time. I got pretty solidly burnt out on them on the PS2. They look great and all that, but I don't have the patience for turned based games anymore. Seems like an anachronism from a time when turn based games were required because of hardware...
That's actually a pretty good interview Wombat. He really drops some good hits about some major E3 announcements. Especially with Activision pimping GH:WT so hard lately, I bet Harmonix is itching to drop a Beatles or Led Zeppelin bomb at E3.
And excellent editing by Cheapy, as well.
They're not, but we're sure as heck covering it like its for the hardcore. You trip over a Wii Fit news story every time you check the RSS feed at Kotaku or Joystiq.
I agree with Wombat. Wii Fit just doesn't interest me. It might have a pretty solid sell through rate, but it wouldn't hold my interest. I need games, not vague tilting experiences.
If Super Smash Brothers was actually Super Smash Dragon Ball Z, it would get 6s and 7s. Its just how it is. The value of the game is intricately tied to the value of the IP characters. That's why I Gameflied it for a weekend and sent it right back. I just don't care that much about those...
