What hookups are needed to play 32x and CD

If you think hooking up a PC is easier than a 32X/SCD/Gen combo, how did you ever manage to find these forums? Look, there are 3 adapters that you will need. 1 for the 32X (its a genesis model 2 variety ac powerpack), 1 for the Genesis itself, and depending on your model of Sega CD, 1 for it...

    Sega Saturn Question...

The Saturn will play backup CD-Rs just like the Dreamcast will. Only difference is that you use either the swaptrick (easier on model 1) or a modchip (easier for the model 2). But I repeat it will play CD-Rs of backups.

    I <3 Dreamcast

ZForce, I just picked up a Gameshark CDX for the DC. Can you provide any insight on how to play imports with it? Thanks..

Now that we know the price, will you buy a PSP?

I'll wait until they sell them dirt cheap... Hell GBA SP's are just now priced where I actually would purchase one. I haven't yet, because I'm sure the PSP launch will probably warrant another round of price drops on 'em to make shelf-space for DS and PSPs.

Does anyone know how to hook up a Sega CD?

Let me clarify, I don't know if you can use the NES ac adapter, but you need a Gen 2 style AC adapter for the Gen 2, and a Gen 1 style AC adapter for the SCD2.

Does anyone know how to hook up a Sega CD?

Set the Gen 2 console up with AC adapter plugged in and RF unit attached to TV. Slide Gen 2's side connector snugly into SCD2 and plug in AC adapter at the back of the SCD2 into wall socket. Power SCD2 by turning on Gen 2 without a game in the Gen 2 console.

    Dreamcast - Thoughts, Opinions, QUESTIONS

Ya know, I didn't even look over at EBgames.com, I checked Gamestop but they were backordered and 39.99. Oh well, I would've saved $15.00, ya live n' learn right? The $15 isn't that bad considering supporting this local chain is worth it. Their prices are very competetive.

    Dreamcast - Thoughts, Opinions, QUESTIONS

Been stewing over buying one since coming to the CAG boards as they seem to be highly touted. Picked one up at my local GameXchange w/ 1 controller for $29.99, along with a VMU for $7.95, and picked up Sonic Adventure for $9.95. With my 10% Active Duty Military Discount it came to $44.xx. Not...

How often do you play your "old school" consoles?

It really depends on what game(s) I just got. My NES sees solid weekly play. RC Pro-Am is still addictive as hell. Can't wait to get Micro-Machines. My SNES just saw at least a week of solid play since I picked up Yoshi's Island. Since I beat it, the SNES is going to sit until I feel like...

Did SONY really win the console war?

Wishful thinking. Sony and Nintendo will just follow suit by copying the success. You know everytime I pass the GC games and see them in the same size dvd cases as PS2 and XBOX I can only see the marketing ploy hard at work. Everybody, Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, and whoever else comes along...

Did SONY really win the console war?

He who spends the most in advertising usually is the victor. The big 3 GC, PS2, and XBOX offer practically the same capablities minus the hardware differences. So yeah, it's definitely up in the air to me.

Ken Kutaragi says Up Yours PSP Owners... well he might as well have.

And a man who's been witness to his 3 best friends' smoked XBOXs' wouldn't put his money into Bill Gates either. Hell, my 1 best friend is on his 3rd XBOX, while the other 2 are on their second XBOXs. So much for the Bulletproof theory, but nice try. -Brian P
