My copy of Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth just arrived. Excited to play it after work. To those who will be picking it up this week, Enjoy and try to avoid spoilers on social media. Apparently people are being douches already. ✌️

Don't know who it was, but I do remember that happening. New God of War, not old.
Yeah I don't remember that at all. Sucks that happend though. It couldn't have been me as I always take a complete break from the internet when big games come out in order to play them spoiler free. God of War, Zelda, Last of Us, Metroid, Final Fantasy. Plus I've barely mentioned God of War in general. Ragnork was a masterpiece and I've mentioned that a couple of times, but I'm not one to spoil anything. The only major spoiler I remember on CAG was the guy that spoiled Heavy Rain in a Heavy Rain deal thread. Kept me from buying the game. That was like 2010-2011. I'm pretty sure he got banned.

When gospelman realizes he's mistaken he can DM me an apology. That's a crazy accusation without any receipts.

I definitely remember a lot of people being upset about a spoiler for the most recent God of War about a year or two ago.

Like everyone else, can't remember who did it though.

I remember the spoiler itself but also don't remember who said it. I think that post was deleted but took a while (few hours at least, possibly a day)...

Ragnarok is fantastic. Loved every bit of that game. Plus it has one of the best free DLC packages of all time in Vallhalla.

On FF7 Rebirth. The graphics mode is the way to go. The performance mode looks very strange. It's smooth, but low res like a Switch game. Graphics mode is super clean looking. Kinda wish they had a Balanced 40 fps mode for those with 120 htz TV's. Forspoken had it and it's the best of both worlds.

I was shocked by how blurry the Rebirth demo looked on performance mode. I’m not playing the full game anytime soon so maybe there will be a PS6 version available when I get around to it.

I started Rebirth...but also midway through Suicide Squad, playing helldinvers, and some nights Baldurs Gate (with my son who lives in D.C.)

Sadly i think helldivers would be more fun but I have no friends that play. All my CoD comrades are Xbox players. Yes, even my wife and son (who has a 5) said he has too much of a backlog to pick up Helldivers which leads me to wonder.....

Is it possible to be spread too thin on the current games one is playing?

I definitely couldn't play rebirth, baldurs gate and suicide squad all at the same time. I know that I wouldn't finish any of them. I think an online game or puzzle game along with a single player story type game works well for me, but much more than that and I can't remember controls or story beats and I get overwhelmed

Yeah I wouldn't be able to do more than like 2 RPGs at most, and it's probably still better to do one at a time. I usually for games I'm playing are a rogue lite spot (like something that has a complete run in a hour), picross when I want to play it, a main game like an RPG, a visual novel (I can read a bit each day) and ongoing games that I can play now and then (MTG Arena is my choice for this usually except for this boring new set). I can't juggle main games too well and find it better to concentrate on them or I wont make meaningful progress.

For me it depends on the games. Like I can do 2 completely different sub genre rpgs at the same time if they are easy to pick up and play. Like srpg and turn based or a short action rpg.

Sometime I need a Break from a game. Like I was working on banner of the maid and just got through a double chapter so I switched to a action rpg title.

Any auto fans in here? There's a Porsche ad for Final Fantasy, which compares the Porsche 911 from 1997 to the modern one like the original FF7 and the modern one. Kind of a weird collaboration since Avalanche is all about saving the planet while cars pollute it.

Picked up Catherine Deluxe edition $10 and Shakedown Hawaii $4 from the sale. Just ordered Catherine on Switch a few days ago and of course it goes on sale for $10 on PSN right after. I'll be returning that as soon as it arrives.

Sane price though unless you want trophies

Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds for Vita & PB: Battlegrounds Overdrive for PS4 (as well as both games' DLCs) are being delisted March 4th (presumably midnight Pacific). This is to make way for a new shiny version based on UE5.
The Vita version has been on sale iirc, but the PS4 version and its DLCs have not.

Cheapest place to get PS+?

Edit - Oh geez, as I thought that read PS5. Yep it is a Monday and I need to wake up.

Sadly my PS plus went dark back in November for the first time since PS3 days. Need a good deal to bring me back into the fold.

I've actually been surprised at the responses out there, as I figured I'd be in the minority of those skipping FF7 for other games right now but apparently I'm not alone by a longshot. I think SE thought they'd be the big fish making a splash launching whenever they felt like, but with such an insanely crowded window for RPGs this month--they overestimated their worth. It also just hit me today that this is the first FF release I have not gotten on day one. . .since FF8.

PS+ and awful no deals after Sony's price hike name a better combination. I'm looking for a deal myself as mine I believe is up in June.
I wish Sony would listen and have a ps+ for solely online only. If not that online/cloud/discounts for at least $20 a year. Better yet just more options like half a year deal cause doing 1 month at a time cost more then a year

I'd say definitely. When I wrapped up Spiderman 2 and Red Dead Redemption in January, I forced myself to not start any new big games. I know my backlog is massive but I was / still am really itching for FFVII2. And I just can no longer mentally keep it together if I'm playing more than one (big) game at a time. So I skipped Like A Dragon for now. Now of course I've been filling my time online with Helldiver's which is honestly so much fun with friends, but definitely a bit lacking when soloing. Also playing through It Takes Two with my lady. Factor in my work schedule and then I don't have a ton of time for games, but just got past the first chapter of FFVII2 last night.

Tldr: there's way too many games out so just play what you can handle. I'm now limiting myself - One big game, one coop experience and one online game (read: helldiver's). May be OCD

ahhh So that's why you keep having a midlife crisis in the PS thread.

79.99 is the cost of the basic plan. Essential for a year.

I would love to have a cheaper plan for online play and save cloud backups that's it. The monthly games I never play as I usually buy what I want. Hell I would love a save data backup plan only that would be fine for me. My PS+ runs out in June and I can't justify spending $80 on it. The last time I bought it was off eneba and I got 3 years for around 120.

I get that. The renewal is confusing because it quotes the $79.99 amount (which is just essentials right) but lists the premium plan (that I am currently try on).
My guess is they require people to opt into the higher tiers each renewal, either by proactively purchasing the higher tier, or by upgrading after auto renewal.

Weird, I was able to use both of those links to claim the games and I have bought other Destiny 2 editions as well. Hmm....
Yeah, probably not the end of the world since I don't play Destiny 2 and don't think I will ever get around to it, but I'm seeing the same issue on the app.

I had to use a different link for Hello Neighbor 2 and I can't claim Destiny 2 Witch Queen because I own another edition. I think it's from when the base game was on PS+ earlier.

Same issue. I also haven't played Destiny 2 other than loading it when Beyond Light was part of PS+ last year. I recall that having trouble activating too. I wonder if we have have to activate it in-game?

Edit: Fired up the game. Says I need 3 content packs for 77GB total. This'll be a while.

Edit 2: The Beyond Light solution was use the app. That's not working for me on Witch Queen. Still asking for the $29.99.

Edit 3: Yup. Inside Destiny 2, it says I already have Witch Queen. Looks like I'm tons of quests away from being able to access it though. And there's nothing in my account history showing I 'bought' Witch Queen.
