I went to my local Kroger last night. Their bin was not marked 50% off. However, I used my Kroger Shopping Card on one of the HD DVDs and it did ring up at 50% off.

Off full retail price I'm sure. At least they are here. There are no deals at our CC.

Mine was selling used copies for $24.99 - $29.99. No deal for sure. They might have been new but they had the Previously Viewed stickers on them.

BTW.....I tried the Eagle Eye $10 off coupon tonight at BB. They wouldn't honor it because Transformers was already on sale. YMMV.

My local Blockbuster has been selling used Blu-Ray discs for a while now. The problem is that they are MORE than ordering them from Amazon. Is this a new company-wide policy?

They were all $19.96 around Christmas. They changed the price on the Cloverfield/Sleepy Hollow pack and a few others to $29.96. I guess they figured the others were less popular.

XA2 has 1080p/24 capabilities if your display can display it. The 5.1 analog audio outputs will allow you to get TrueHD if you have an older receiver that has a multi-channel analog input but no HDMI. The remote is backlit and as mentioned, uses the Reon HQV processing chip for upscaling DVDs...

If DVD upscaling were a factor at all, the XA2 would be the one to get. It uses the Reon upscaling chip. It will not be the least expensive route. It does up to 1080p/24.
