I'm not sure how you could have issues using normal batteries while having it plugged in. The rechargeable batteries connect to a different connector than normal batteries.

Yeah I got it finally, they just took longer to process the charge than anyone I've ever ordered from apparently. Like every google search for this company seems to steer you away from making purchases here.

When I did it, I created a new account then placed the item in my cart and tried to order it. This did not work. At the checkout screen, it will ask you to create a new account. That is the only way the promo applied.
