I certainly find it a tough balance, I can relate to the article. One thing I do is try to buy something new on the weekend so that the inevitable patches occur while I'm doing other stuff around the house or outside. I have a maximum two hour window on weeknights...

Release incomplete games and then patch them later in a hope it completes it and fixes the issues. We see it with many. Some companies release huge day one patches and that redeems them a little but then there are companies who struggle to ever get the game right after collecting all the money...

The key thing with any game it to make sure you're enjoying how you're playing it. As long as that is in play it doesn't matter who you play.

Research the quality of the drive. Quality is far more important than price when it comes to data storage.

This game is so awesome. Like Skyrim, you don't need to follow the story to have a lot of fun. It's practically begging you to explore endlessly.

I spent 12 hours in the hinterlands before moving on(not done exploring it yet) and even now I'm not moving on with with the story. I'm in the southern swampland area infested with zombies... Can't remember the name now but check that area out if you want an insane amount of action.

Are there deals for that? Not usually. If you want to save money you do it after you're a member.
