That won't work. The account needs to own the games. Earning achievements on family shared-games won't get tracked. They've been telling this on their support forum.

Aren't they checking whether you commented on the group or not? Because I think, that was a requirement at that time and comments were locked once the game got greenlit.

I think, this hasn't been posted yet: Vote for Mech Marines on Greenlight and join their Steam group. I think they removed the "must comment"-task... Also, Slaughtering Grounds "tried" to hand out Steam keys to voters, since their game got greenlit. But, just like with their first game...
