I hope somebody does some sort of trade in deal to upgrade your PS3 from an old version to a new one. The fan on this thing drives me crazy when I'm wathching movies.

Also, if you get the 20GB you can upgrade to a much larger HD for ~$50 on geeks.com. I got a 100GB for $40 a while back.

I bought a 20GB PS3 refurb from GS about a year ago and it was behaving funny so they let me exchange it for another refurb. The new one has been working fine ever since. In my estimation, the problems you'll have with a refurb PS3 are likely to show themselves within 30 days so it's not as bad...

I bought a 100GB refurb hard drive from geeks.com for ~$45 six months ago and it is still working like a charm.

Anybody know what refurbs are going for with the price drop? I was able to score a refurb 20 gig for $370 back in July. I imagine this will knock the price down even further. I grabbed a 100gb hd off of geeks.com for $40, and have been a happy man ever since. BTW- there's plenty to play on this...

If you haven't noticed, you can find a refurb PS3 20GB for $370 from EB games . It just takes a little searching.

There's a bunch of good deals on refurb units at Macmall.com- 37" vizio's from $500, and 32" Westinghouses from $400.
