Gamestop PRP (any gamestop employee's here?) [Use Deal Shopping/Discussions Forum]

I purchased a refurb PS3 ~8 months ago with the PRP from gamestop. I can't seem to find the terms of the PRP anywhere- not online or printed on the back of my receipt. My problem is that my PS3 is excessively loud, the fan turns on "medium" within 5 minutes of starting up even when the ps3 is...

I bought a 20GB PS3 refurb from GS about a year ago and it was behaving funny so they let me exchange it for another refurb. The new one has been working fine ever since. In my estimation, the problems you'll have with a refurb PS3 are likely to show themselves within 30 days so it's not as bad...

    80gb PS3 price dropped to $499 (and 40gb announced for Nov. 2)

Anybody know what refurbs are going for with the price drop? I was able to score a refurb 20 gig for $370 back in July. I imagine this will knock the price down even further. I grabbed a 100gb hd off of geeks.com for $40, and have been a happy man ever since. BTW- there's plenty to play on this...

The 20GB sku for new PS3s is back up on the gamestop websites and is showing a retail cost of $449.99. This is surprising since we expected it to be lowered a full $100. http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=020071

Cheapest way to dolby surround sound

Hi everyone- I'd like to take advantage of the PS3's digital audio output for as cheap as possible. Has anyone out there found a "cheap" way to do this? The cheapest I seem to be able to find is a Sony sorround sound system that'll take the optical output, but that is still around $200. I'm not...
