Help with Walmart return!

I ended up with two PS4 bundles. I opened the one I purchased at Walmart and have been using it for a while, but got another as a gift since then. Since I've been adding stuff for a month I would rather return the console I just got rather than prepping the original for return (and then reloading everything again).

Is there any hope that I can return a new, unopened identical bundle to Walmart for a refund or are they tracking serial numbers?

Check your original receipt, does it list the serial number on it? If so then they track the serial #.
