I've been waiting for the price to drop Castlevania: DOS in Canada. Hopefully I can find a copy now...

You may want to read a few reviews on Fusion Frenzy 2 before buying it. The lowest review I read was a 2 out of 10 from one of the EGM editiors. Metacritic has it at 48 out of 100. There's proably a better game out there you haven't played for your $20 :)

There will be dump bins priced at 9.99 and 14.99 I have heard there is over 600 games on the list for the bins, so it will very per store. I have no time to write 600 games down. I also do not know the discount amout and I am sure they wll be used titles.

Most of the time you can't stack the Edge card with other specials
 
Of the many EBs I called in and around Vancouver, the only one I have so far been able to find with any new DS Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow's in stock said the price is listed in the computer as $49.99.

I mentioned that I had heard that the price had been dropped to $24.99 and th lady said that she there is no indication of such.

Is the $24.99 for DS Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow in the flyer? I'd love to show them that.

Does anyone know if EB still does price protection guarantees?

Meaning if you buy something from them, and they end up dropping the price a few days later, you can bring in the receipt and they will refund you the difference.
 
That PSP deal is actually kind of appealing... Daxter seems like an awesome game.
I just have too many games to buy (i.e. God of War II).
And my whole family would be mad at me >_>

UPDATE on DS Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

I have found 2 EBs in my area that have some in stock. BUT, it is the relrease with that !$*&@^$%(^%&)$*@&^*% HIDEOUS "Konami's Best" packaging.

Also, I asked two EBs if they still do that price protection guarantee thing I mentioned earlier. Both said no. :bomb:

One girl I talked to had trouble understanding what it was, so I used the upcoming discount on Castlevania as an example. She said, "I really dont think that game will drop in price." :wall:

That's pretty ugly but I don't care to much I just want to play the game for a decent price. I love Castlevania games. I can't even find a EB Games that has a copy in stock. Maybe they'll get stock this week because of the flyer.

I went to both my EBs today and they had all the 75% off sale stuff up. One of the two ebs had some games in bins that said "UP TO 70% OFF" but the majority of games were turds. Worse yet many of them were definitely regularl price. 75% off the release price maybe pffft..
Anyhow, since the sale doesn't technically start until tomorrow I'm hoping there will be some actual discounts in there. Namely I'm looking for 4.99 Silent Hill 4. They had some copies here but they were like 19.99 or something.

Also, to be fair, in those alleged 75% bins they did have some real stinkers marked down like some of the bad classic games like Pong/someothergames for gba was 3.83 or something.
 
Pretty much All EBs have gotten in their shipments of DS Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

ALL of them are those ass ugly Konami's Best rereleases.
 
there should be at least one brand new/sealed "Konami's Best" copy at the oakridge EB, i traded that sucker in 2 weeks ago (assuming no one bought it)

The promo does not start untill tomorrow. Alot of the price changes have not gone thought get. My guess is they just getting ready for it before hand.

Ranzo is pretty much the best confirmation you can get on any EB Deals. Unlike many employees, he seems to actually read the promos in their system =)
 
Went into a couple of EBs today...bins are pretty damn sparse. Was tempted by some DS games @ $20 (Harvest Moon, Age of Empire, Phoenix Wright (Have it already), Trace Memory, Magentica, Trozei, etc. [Saw a copy of Dawn of Sorrow]) but didn't really feel it was necessary. Disappointingly, not much else to be seen.

True the bins have some week games, how ever alot of games missed the price change for some reason. Expect more to be added in the next few days.
 
i did the deal for the psp. i saw the memo they get, and the signs that they will be getting. but they hadn't gotten the signs yet. but it does state that it starts today.

here's what worked for me. i dunno what the TIV was because they bumped them up.

PS2 - God of War
