Hey all I went to Wal-Mart last night do to boredom, and I noticed they had Wii's in stock so I bought one, and I wanted Trauma Center SO so i got that too. When I watched the guy ring them up, Trauma Center SO came up as 9.98! The game is still marked 49.98 on the shelf though, but it is ringing up 9.98! This is at the Wal-Mart in Tucson AZ eastside.

Is this a fun game? I've heard good stuff about it, but don't want to purchase it if it doesn't have long lasting value. Plus I don't have a DS yet, but plan on picking one up soon. I may have to drop by Walmart. Any other good game sales there?

Yes, it's very fun, and in fact my favorite Wii game. It lasted me around 23 hours to complete the game on normal, but then again I sucked horribly. Some say it only took them around 10 hours to complete for their first time, but that would certainly vary. I still haven't finished any of the X operations, so those should add some replay value, or trying to get the best ranks in each operation. This game was worth full price to me.

Just to add, it's a remake of the DS one, but upgraded with new cases for a new doctor and has a new scenario in the end with both doctors. I particularly liked the ending because it plays on the special abilities of the doctors, plus the song was really nice to listen to.

The biggest warning is that it can get very frustrating, especially when the patient's vitals drop fast when tumors accumulate or the game considers that you let go of fragments and they drop again into the patient. Also, it's very text driven (some subchapters just involve conversations and no actual operations). Overall, it's very fun, but if you played the DS one already, you might feel a bitshorthanded because the story is basically the same and many of the operations are the same or similar.

No go at Northridge, CA Walmart. It was quite busy and the guy was pretty grumpy about having to get a game out when there was no way it was the price I said... (And it wasn't. ;) )

was just about to head off to the Northridge Walmart.... boy would that guy REALLY have been pissed!
No go at Greenfield walmart in Mesa, AZ
Damn! Thanks for posting. I guess the Apache Junction and Signal Butte (east Mesa) Wal-Marts don't even carry this game.
When I was there, I didnt see how many copies were available, I got one, and there was more behind it so I dunno?
If you could grab more I'd pay cost+shipping for a copy as I'm sure many other CAGS would.
