This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Yea, start removing games after awhile because Target just junks them, so no sense keeping things in the OP that no Target has anymore.

From the other thread I can confirm Condemned (360)for $15. Just picked up their only copy after work. It was still in the case, not a clearance endcap.

If you can find them, Condemned, Full Auto, and Chromehounds all went to 14.99. You can get Full Auto off the website if you don't mind paying shipping.
 
Yeah, found Chomehound today for $14.99 as mentioned. Oddly Perfect Dark Zero LE is still $39.99. I thought they would clearence that.
 
Have a DPCI for the Sennheiser headphones by chance? I know my store carried a couple different ones, but haven't seen them out since the reset.
 
Which one in particular was clearanced tho? I know we carried earbuds recently, and some cans farther back - don't remember the model numbers on either to look for them tho.
 
Found NWN Diamond for $4.98 on Thursday, just what I was looking for. Also, Target in Menomonee Falls, WI had a $9.98 Gothic 3 as of Thursday evening.

If you or your kids are into Legos, look for some of the Batman sets on clearance. I found "The Batcave™: The Penguin™ and Mr. Freeze's Invasion" (set 7783) marked down from $89.99 to somewhere around $22. My boys will be happy.

Yeah, but then we'd miss things like the non-GH copies of Pikmin 2 I found last month :)

Just kidding, no we can't keep everything on the list.. but be aware there are pockets in this country where stuff sits forever....
 
I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely holding out for the gigantic GBA clearance/exodus that has been rumored on Kotaku. I hope it includes handhelds (assuming my store has them), because I would certainly love to have an SP or another Micro. Keep us posted, CAGers. Please be on the look out.
 
Yo! My local Target had some strange stuff going on.

Test Drive for Xbox 360 was $10. BUT, it did not have the oh so usual red clearance sticker. It had the "AS IS" sticker, like it was a returned item, but there were 4 of them stacked up in the clearance area. I think that one will be a YMMV.

Oh and if the Ferrari Lego sets ever hit clearance I'll be on that!
 
$4.98 for Starcraft Battle Chest and GTA San Andreas for PC. Looks like I'm checking my local Targets for these, since SC is even cheaper than the GS sale. I only want that damned 'tour book' that the SA PC version came stuck in. Why couldn't the console versions get a nice book like that?!?!?!

Is it a sale or drop, or a clearance? It'd be good to know-- not that it's a horrible deal. It'd certaintly be worth adding into the thread because it's just as good as a clearance price-- just wouldn't drop like a clearance item would.

Also, to the above poster. I LOLed at my intial list, which was a compilation of the last two weeks. It was tiny. So I dug a bit and expanded the list a bit. Most of this stuff aside from the PC stuff is long gone I bet. I'll probably take out my "June" list whenever some actual clearance happens.

To lessen your workload, I wouldn't bother listing the >1-month old clearance stuff. I think it'd be hard to find a lot of the older VIII items in-store by now, like those PMX200. Some newcomers to the Target Clearance Thread might think the older things listed are current clearances with the way you have the "added [date]."

No complaints though, OP, as I think you're taking on a big responsibility. Just a suggestion so that you're not constantly needing to sift through old VIII posts. One does need time for gaming. :lol:

No, I agree with you. Clearance at Target has a tendency to disappear entirely whether it to be customers or to Goodwill. When I decide to make the list, I was at work. So I thought out of boredom I'd go all out. I simply posted anything posted from May 7th-present. It was honestly just a filler list because game wise, clearance seems to be dead other than PC stuff. That and the forementioned boredom. :lol:
 
I don't mean to ruffle any feathers but shouldn't we stop talking about the non-gaming related deals at Target? Already, we have a few posts about headphones and Legos while all the other ones have random posts about DVD players and phones and whatnot. I just think it'll help just a little bit in the way these Target threads always blow up.

Since it doesn't make a lot of sense to start a clearance thread for a few items in a forum no one really visits, I don't see a problem listing stuff like printers and headphones, since it helps out people who may happen to be interested in those as well.

This is more of a general thread for Target clearance, placed in the games forum since games are the main focus, but people have always brought up other interesting finds they found at Target that are great deals, and it would suck if they stopped now.

The mods don't have a problem with it, either, or else Shrike would have stepped in a long time ago... the thread is never dominated by these non game clearance items, it's just mentioned and talked about briefly.

OK, well, I was just wondering because in one of the threads in the DVD forum, some guy asked us to stop talking about details of some of the DVDs that were on sale, even though it might've helped some people decide whether or not they wanted to purchase the DVDs. And also, there is a separate forum on other deals. I don't think I'll ever get how this place works. :roll:

Most likely the store you visited had just gone through inventory. Those stickers mean the game rang up as "no longer in the system" during inventory. At that point, the store has to make up a price and generic DPCI (specific item number) to get that counted in the inventory. It says "AS IS" becuase they use the came stickers for display units they are trying to get rid of that are no longer going to be used.

Short version, yes major YMMV.

I walked up and down the aisles looking for a few of these games in Marlboro, MA and Leominster, MA and found none left already. bummer..

Oh yeah, and also helping me to resist Gothic 3 for 4.99, because it's a buggy mess (the blokes over at Penny-Arcade forums helped too).

That's because he's an asshole and/or an idiot. We, however, are not. :D

Generally, the rules about what goes where have a lot of room for flexibility as long as you're remotely close. The guy who reposted one small DVD sale in the gaming forum, for instance, got complaints because "DVD Deals" is pretty self explanatory. Ditto for people who spam the site with trade lists when we've got an area set aside for that. Just don't do things like that - things that would be obvious if you took a minute to look at the board names when you signed up - and you'll be fine. :D
 
Got the last Gothic 3 for 10 bucks, Chromehounds is still 21.99 or so here on clearance sadly, ill nab it if its 13 or less.

You forgot about the shmucks who :spam:CAG with those 'do 3 offers get a free prize' things when they're such a new member it can't help but be an ad for a site they probably personally own.
 
uh, whoa. I've seen old Xbox live 12 month cards all over the place at Target. gonna go snag some tomorrow :)
 
Hey, don't know if this is off topic, I hope it isn't...

I'm new to the Charlotte, NC area and I was wondering if there are any good targets around here? I went to the one near...Matthew (sP?) I think it was or something...can anyone recommend any good ones that maybe have better clearances than others? I'm willing to drive a bit if that makes any difference...

This had sat there a while and although I got it on Xbox soon after release on the Kmart/Wal-Mart price match glitch $15 price, I figured with the mods available it would be worth it to grab it on PC.

This was the last one.

They had a lot of bargain PC titles for $2.98 too, and Dawn of War: Dark Crusade for $7.48
 
Went to target this morning hoping to find some X% off GBA stuff, but there wasn't anything yet. All of the GBA games have been moved to the endcap and are piled in there among a bunch of Xbox & PS2 games. Nothing is marked down... yet.
 
Yeah, I'm definitely waiting for the clearance to hit the GBA stuff at the local Target. There's plenty of games left, and even a few pink GBA SP2 units. I'll spring for one of those, if they hit 75% off. :D
 
Here is what I found last night.

Location: East Hanover, NJ
Item: The Fugitive (HD-DVD)
Clearance Price: $4.96

It had the long white and red clearance sticker on the back and rang up "High Definition" with that price. Other than that it was pretty slim pickins.
 
I went to 5 Targets around my area...nothing, absolutely nothing from the lists. Maybe I'm slow and other gamers beat me to the purchase or the stores here don't particpate...*sad face*

I'm in the San Jose, CA area. Did any CAGs from here get anything?

Yeah, you're right. Most of the stuff that was added first to the list (the 8th I think?) should be disregarded except for some of the PC games, which seem to be easier to find even later on during the clearance.
