Free Redbox DVD Rental at McDonalds and on Redbox Website

My wife came across a promotion for the new Redbox DVD rentals at participating McDonalds. She bought the $1 sweet tea and the cup has a coupon code for a free redbox rental. I'm not sure exactly what items have these codes, but I'm guessing large fries/drinks and select sandwiches. The catch to the free rental is that it is a one night rental and after that rental you are charged $1 a day.

Also in my research to find the promo on McDonalds website I stumbled across another Free rental promo on Redbox.com. You have to give your email up to get your free rental. Here is the direct link to the site:

I was wondering if any of you guys' Redbox temporarily charges $10? Most RedBox that I go to don't temporarily charge me anything and I just want to make sure that you do get your $10 after you return the DVD right?
