The goal of the PSN Gaming Group is to bring the PS3 community here at CAG closer together, get to know each other much better, and become good friends. Also, it's nice being able to play others who may play similar games as you, as long as people who may be available around the same time as you.

I probably won't start any kind of official schedule until late in the week or early next week. Reason is that I'm hoping to get at least 15-20 people joining, so I can figure out the best times for stuff.

Actually, I might just wait for Warhawk and Tekken 5 DR online to come out to officially start something. Reason is that I expect them to be popular, so there will be around 3 games to play online weekly, with a racer or sports mixed in, or something like that.

I definitely plan to make a racing night/day. Not sure how I will do it yet, since there are plenty of PS3 racers. I'll either have some rotation, or have 2 racing games going on at once (and let people choose what they want to play).

Hmm I dunno about that man, it looks funny now with just the Cag name being huge and everything else small. If you are going to do that, wouldn't doing stuff in certain colors be easier? Or just give everything a double space to make it easier to read. Kind of like this:

To let everyone know, what I'm planning to do later this week, is take a look at every game on an individual basis. I will see who has it and what times they are available. The most popular games will be done first. When I find the most common available time, that will be the official time. If there's another popular second time, I may allow two arrangements.

I'm thinking we'll play games around 3-5 times a week. Only 2-3 games may be played every week. Most will be every 2-3 weeks. Part of the reason is that I don't want people to get sick of playing the same game too many times. Also, I don't play to make gaming everyday, since I know most of you probably have better things to do in life on certain days (like socializing, girlfriend, family, etc.).

Unreal Tournament 3 is confirmed to have mod support(not just maps but most if not all mods), keyboard/mouse, and PC/PS3 crossplatform play. Those features are great but Warhawk and Halo 3 alone is enough online gaming for most. Maybe I'll be bored with them by mid november.

Brother in Arms for PS3 is also supporting PC/PS3 crossplatform. There are going to be so many tough decisions to make this holiday season.

I think the official word is still out on crossplatform UT3. There was just some announcement this week about Epic adding crossplatform support to Unreal Engine 3, and naturally speculation ran wild about what that means for UT3. Epic is still reluctant to explicitly confirm crossplatform for UT3, although at this point I'd be very surprised if it doesn't support it.

As revealed at Sony's press conference at the E3 Media & Business Summit, Unreal Tournament 3 is coming out this year for the PC and PS3 only. It will allow cross-platform play between the two platforms, which will be greatly enhanced by the inclusion of keyboard/mouse support. Said support will also offer gamers the alternative of buying a $599 console or upgrading their PC without having to sacrifice traditional shooter controls.

I might combine racers and sports, but I gotta see if there are any conflicts.

Depending upon my mood (no guarantee), I may allow people to vote between a day and time period for the big 3-4 games, between the best available slots.

ya I also think Resistance, Warhawk and Tekken should be weekly since they are the most popular and PS3 exclusives so they can only be played on PSN.

for me Tekken will be a daily thing, so I'll always be on with that.

Resistance and Tekken should be weekly until some thing better replaces them. Try not to have Resistance or Tekken on Monday, use that for warhawk or something. I think Saturday should be Resistance and Sunday Tekken. Since more people usually have weekends off (like myself.) It would be the best time since those two will be the most popular games, and most people have the weekends off.

Resistance will probably be Saturday, I can definitely say that. I gotta research on Tekken 5 DR and Warhawk, figuring out the best time (off the top of my head now, I'm thinking Sunday for Tekken 5 DR and some day during the week for Warhawk, like a Tuesday night, or Friday night). I think I'll keep Calling All Cars on Monday regardless.

Okay I really like Resistance and Tekken on the weekends. I don't know if anyone one else does but to me that would be the best days for them. Seeing as most people have every weekend off, whether it be work or going to school. This is what I'd like to see just throwing my two cents out.
