Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I work at Sear's and this is extreme YMMV on whats left. Scrolled through the list and there's really nothing at my store.

The other thing that I wanna add is the 20 GB X-Box 360 HD is on clearance at mine for $79.96 I believe.

Perfect Dark Zero was in a bin but it was still marked at $19.96

(I work in electronics, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask)

In before someone complains about not being able to see the grey font without squinting or other generic complaints like this site seems so good for anymore.

On a personal note though, great job Phear....very concise, very easy to keep track of.....ignore the naysayers who I'm sure will be in shortly.
 
i work in sears and most of these games arent in stock. i work in the freehold mall one in nj.

some guy came in the store and checked a couple of games he saw on cheap ass gamer.

i dont doubt that some deals are true, but as for the sears i work at they only have tvs in stock for the eletronics section.

they dont care to get shipments of things they dont make commission on.

the real reason why i kept the dark grey is because those are the old deals. instead of keeping them away from this thread, just combine everything together and just highlight the ones that are currently active and in stock.

i hate having to go through a list to try to find something, at least this way its easier to see quickly. if they have problems with it, i guess i could change the color. or better yet, move them down (thats why i took the first 2 replies) since that was originally my idea in the first place.

but thanks for the comment, very much appreciate it (it took a few hours to do this shit!)

i listed all the prices based on peoples finds as they posted them on the other deals. its very true that some places are sold out of these games. but very few still has them. theres probably quite a few cags in your area.

I don't mind the grey as they are old prices/out of stock/etc. Good job and keep up the hard work.

It's really up to you how you wanna do this but the dates in MMDDYY kinda looks messy, maybe using seperators MM.DD.YY or something but you don't have to its just my personal preference :p

LOL Just saying Gara, that's what used to happen when I tried starting a new version of an older thread. Either I had people say 'I don't like that font' or 'you didn't credit blabbity blabbity blah blah'. It was a neverending torrent of complaints....so I'd delete the original post and let someone else make the new thread. Much easier that way...and less griping.

some of the stuff are old. sears usually doesn't carry too many of these games in the first place. and they don't restock either once they've been sold out unless they became greatest hits.

I have a question about printing UPC barcodes. I want to print out the UPC barcode for Castlevania Portrait of Ruin but I get two options one is for UPC-A and the other is for EAN/UCC-13 which upc barcode is the correct one for Sears?

ive never done a barcode printout before. what i'd do is to print all of them and check each one. but please tell us which one works, and i'll put it on the first page for people to use. and youre welcome!

oops sorry snake, will put it through. yeah i didn't really realized how big it was until i started gathering all the prices for each games. i must have added about 10 to 15 games from the old list, and a bunch of accessory finds.

donut had brought up an issue regarding the kmart thread. i had been keeping up with the issue there that SD had apparently stolen io's list and just basically copy and pasted it and call it their own without even crediting io's work.

this thread is meant to help us get the best deals on games new and old. SD and FW's philosophy is to maximize whatever they could get their hands on and turn it into cash as soon as possible. you can tell sometimes from people who are mainly just lurking to hoard all copies. ive seen them on ebay, they are stupid enough to leave the stickers on the games almost 80 to 90% of the time. and sells maybe 5 or more copies of them. this isnt something we can stop, but we can prevent it from happening. maybe creating a updated list was a bad idea.. i dunno..

Doesn't Sears usually drop prices during the first week of the month? I'm anxious to see a few prices drop for October, like Elite Beat Agents.

UPC-A usually works on the scanners I have tried. They look like the ones on the boxes, so that is good enough for me :).

we'll just have to see what happens next. so far, i think this is the first and only updated sears clearance thread. i was thinking about setting up traps to see if they'll fall for them. you will know which games they are if you know your games ;P

anyways.. is there really no clearance yet for Ps3 games? i saw a bunch of sports games in boxes today when i went but i wasnt sure if they were clearanced yet. i think it might have been the new nba game. nothing else special except for a few boring titles

You're right, now that I think about it. It would be more trouble than it's worth. I think the issue is, as someone brought up in the Kmart Thread, The lists are probably the biggest issue, because that makes it a bit too easy to grab and repost elsewhere.

Hey dammit, that's my thread! :lol: Although, Snake did one before me... but I believe I used a slightly different format, more traditional to the original Target thread here, that was later modified (for the better) at ByteSizeDeals, which may not even be a website anymore.


Very nice job with this though, all clearance threads should look like yours. I've got a project that I've considered doing with clearance games, and if I ever do it I'll definitely contact you for help.
