I'm 100% sure that the X530s (and probably the X540s) don't have rear speakers...If it doesn't explicitly say it does, then it probably doesn't. To my knowledge, the Z5450s are the only Logitechs that have rear speakers.

I thought that was what 5.1 means...one middle, a left and right front, and two speakers that go behind? Am I confused and do they just go on the sides?

No, you're correct in the 5.1 part, 5 speakers + a sub, but the rear speakers are still connected by wires.. You have to get kind of creative on how you want to put them up - I believe you can mount them or something, I'm not enitirely sure...

You'll basically have wires hanging behnd you unless you get creative with the wiring.

And yeah, you could just put them on the sides.

You can wall mount the logitechs too. I think logitechs have some wireless speakers. I forgot the model though. I do know there not really wireless though since the rear ones are only wireless. Though they still have a power cable hanging in back of them.

I've got the Z-5450 set, and the rear speakers are wireless. However, you will need a separate power outlet for each one of the rear speakers, so there will still be cords going down your wall if you mount these.

Also, a caution. The set uses a 2.4 GHz signal for the rear speakers, which will cause interference with any other wireless devices using the same signal. In my case, it was impossible to use the Logitech PS2 wireless controllers (the commands from the controller would cut out or go "wonky" all the time) or the Xbox 360 wireless headset (headset would randomly and frequently desync and resync) while using the speaker system. So only get these if this won't be a problem for you.

So would these be recommended then? I have a wireless headset so I wouldn't want to get wireless speakers but is there a fair amount of cord going to each speaker so I could tape the cord against the wall so they aren
t just hanging all over the place?

I have the X-540s and the speakers are not wireless (and also have their own wires so you can't just use generic speaker wire). They are pretty short as well (my room is ~11 ft long and they were pretty much stretched tight on the floor just from my tv to my couch's side tables if that gives you an idea.)
