Where can I get games resurfaced?

I need to resurface Guitar Hero 1/2, Gran Turismo 4, Fatal Frame 3, and Dragon Quest VIII. I don't particularly want to buy them again...

What stores resurface games for customers?

Thanks, but I don't live anywhere near a GameCrazy. I don't even know if they're in my state...

Any other places?

Not that I know of. You can buy packages that "resurface" the disk, but it is nothing like a real machine that resurfaces it. I have a "disk doctor" and it works, but the disk has circular markings once your done with the process. Hopefully someone else can help you out.

All Hollywood video stores and Gamecrazy stores have the buff machine. If there is a Gamecrazy that is where the machine is. Otherwise it is at the Hollywood.

At the local Hollywood Video store closing, when I bought a bunch of stuff, one of the discs was iffy and the woman working there resurfaced it (it was *beautiful* afterwards) and told me to stop by anytime if I needed any of the others resurfaced.

'Course, they're closed now.

Guess the last 2 posts didn't catch that he doesn't live near a Game Crazy.

Check to see if any local video or used CD stores offer resurfacing services. There's one around here that does, but costs $5 a disc & takes a week to get back(they send them into a professional company). Of course since I've got a Game Crazy near me, it's cheaper & quicker to just take them up there(5 discs for $5).

If you want to take the risk, I'd suggest sending them to someone that lives near a Game Crazy if there's no one near you that offers resurfacing. It would probably be cheaper than sending them to some online site, since the cheapest I've seen online is $3 a disc & takes 2 weeks to get back.

yes, hollywood video is a good bet. There are a few ones that you can do through the mail, check www.google.com

If you go to a mom n pop store, make sure they are using a machine, not one of the homemade kits, those usually just do more damage.
