Best way to move last gen game collection?

I'm deciding what the best course would be to move my last gen games and systems. I primarily have tons of Xbox games that I'm looking to move now and then moving on to PS2 and GCN stuff. What would your suggestions be?

1) Sell what I can here individually? (What are the drawbacks to this seeing as I've only traded a few times with other CAGs?)

2) Sell my items individually/lot on eBay? (Unlikely, since I have only one transaction--a purchase--on my account.)

3) Sell my items in a lot on Craigslist?

4) Donate them somewhere? (I have no idea the first place to go, considering this is last gen.)

Please keep in mind my main aim here is to clear up room from all these games. Yes, I realize a percentage of these are old sports games and it's going to be hard to get rid of those.

Here's a list of what I'm looking to move so hopefully you get an idea:

Xbox System with S-Video Connectors, Power Cord and 2 Controllers (1-Type S, 1-Duke)
*All games were purchased brand new by me and are in great condition with all manuals and inserts still intact.

Personally, I hold on to my stuff... unless its something I really dont want, which I still try to hold on it.
But Id wait until its really saught after. GC games are gonna be very rare..

I thought I'd want to hold onto my stuff 'cause I keep thinking, "I'm gonna want to go back and play through it." But lots of these games, it's been well over 3-4 years since I last played them and I have absolutely no interest in going back. I'm very much the type to move on to the next "new" thing very quickly. Hell, I'll buy a new 360/PS3 game, get bored of it in an hour or two and look to buy the next new game that comes out.

I guess my point is, wait until they are worth more then they currently are. Most Xbox games you cant get more then $5-10 for. Where as if you waited until they were rare, you could get more money. Like Dreamcast games are now...

The thing is though that the DC sold like 1/10th of what the Xbox did and most Xbox titles are multiplatform and very common. Plus, the DC has a cult following whereas the Xbox is more mainstream. I don't see these going up in value... at least not for another 20 years or so.

I would keep some of the good ones (Panzer Dragoon, BG&E, etc.) and get rid of the rest individually. The sports games, you might wanna just throw together in a big lot or donate.

Xbox systems still bring a premium for the customing crowd... also depends on the game. I mean, Im not disagreeing with you, totally understand what your saying. Then again... maybe I should just agree with you, seeing as you've sold/traded almost 60games, to my ZERO!

I'm definitely going to keep a couple titles (JSRF and Panzer Dragoon Orta, come to mind), but the rest have to move.

Any further suggestions on charities that take games? I tried the local children's hospital, but understandably, their selection process is very stingy.

What would be the best way to sell a lot of games to move them quick? Keep in mind, I only have one transaction (a purchase) from eBay. Do I package a bunch of games together with some "higher profile" releases?

Wow, I'm shocked that the children's hospital is that picky. You'd think most charities dealing with kids would be thrilled to get anything that works.

I haven't had to get rid of my collection ever, so I'm not sure of the best way. One thought, if you don't need the money, have you thought of giving your collection to a neighbor child or something like that. I know in my area, there are tons of kids that don't have tons of stuff, and they'd remember something like that forever. You'd be sharing your love of video games with the next generation, which can warm your heart. If there aren't many by you, maybe a neighbors relative or someone would appreciate it.

You can give your stuff to the salvation army or goodwill. They will sell your stuff in their stores and the money goes to charity. But, you want to make sure where you are donating. My sis in law worked at one of the stores, and she would take most things of value that people donated. So, people donated thinking they were making a difference, and they weren't.

If your selling, it depends on your amount of work you want to do. You can sell on ebay, just do it slowly, and get some feedback as you go. You won't get top buck, but it wont' be that bad either. Of ocurse, the amount you get will depend on how you split it out. The bigger the blocks of stuff you sell, the easier it is on you, but you'll get less overall. Only you can weigh how much the inconvenience factor is worth to you.

The way I've been moving my older system stuff has been through putting it on Ebay through lots/bundles. The Ebay moms just love it. You can pretty much sell anything that way, plus if you leave open international shipping or shipping to certain places like Mexico, then those people love it. I guess they're just getting our old gen systems or they're becoming affordable there so they're buying from us our backlog. If one of your games is valuable, then I would put it up individually. I've done that for a few of mine, most notably my spare Ico. Also, with some of the coupons coming out from Gamestop/EB, trading isn't so bad of an option. I have a 50% extra trade in credit that I'm thinking of using if there is anything I absolutely want this year.

Goodwill is not a charitable organization. Their money goes into operational costs and expanding their "charitable" empire. Their current mission statement is to offer employment to the underpriveledged. By that standard, McDonald's is a charitable organization.

Add to that, I don't have any eBay feedback (save for one purchase) and I don't see anyone purchasing stuff from me.

Edit: Wow, I had no idea I made this thread.

Can you put up some pics of these games? Or post link(s) to feedback/sucessful trades?
Pretty sure I might be able to pick up some xbl points soon. Your pics/feedback can seal the deal.

Click the number and it gives you the full list of my past trades/sales. You can click the reviews as well since some of them contain notes pertaining to the sale. I've got my full sale/trade list up as well here.

For pics, post in that thread or better yet, PM me so I can send you the pics you want.
Trade list here on CAG and Half.com listings (they don't end like eBay and there are no Paypal fees).
That half.com is new to me. Thanks for letting me know.

Just post them on CAG at good prices. I'm in the same situation as you are, OP, and what I do is sell my games in lots.. 20 games will fit in a flat rate box for $9 shipping (if you're not familiar), so i'm listing all my games and telling people to make bundles of 20 games for $40.

I sold 20 sports games from like 02/03 for $9 shipped cause i needed room, so if someone is interested in that i'm sure you'll eventually move your items as well. Good luck!

So would you suggest I separate my sell/trade list into categories? Some that I'd sell separately (newer/higher demand games) and some that I can have people pick their bundles or bundle them myself with some older games being bundled with newer/higher demand games?
