Or some that I will just whatever you think is good and I'll give it a listen and post what I thought.

Mod Note: Try to keep profanities out of thread titles, ok? - DaPhatty

Alkaline Trio
Refused (The Shape of Punk to Come, you must own)
Lovehatehero
Lostprophets
Ignite
The International Noise Conspiracy

I hope you know I was being dead fucking serious about this suggestion. And yes, it's Computor, not Computer.
My Computor Has AIDs is a great band. Check out their CD, The Spice Girls Made Me Do It.
Project 86 (no one knows them... awesome hard stuff, ok middle of the road boarderline whiney stuff - drawing black lines, self title, and all your heroes are dead - great albums.)
Guru (baldhead slick) (Jazzamataz = awesome albums)
Rise Against (best thing to come out of chicago music wise in a long long time.)
New Bullet out soon
OBie's album is good
New Ghostface
Atmosphere (cant remember the album song 'trying to find a balance' is on it)
Lostprophets (some songs are great, others are typical wanna be whiney pre-punk.)
Like Lostprophets? Check out Trapt (great band live... drummer beats on those things like a serial rapist.)
Bad Religion anyone?
Black Stone Cherry
If you havent gotten the new Buckcherry, its worth it.
A7x (oh but of course)
MASTODON!!!!!
The Roots - if you dont know them, kill yourself.
Jurassic 5
And but of course Nine Inch Nails. Year Zero is eh... Later stuff is much more deep and less industrial/spuradic, more electronic.

Jazz?
Bela Fleck is the best, Victor Wooten is his back up pimp hand (just get the greatest hits CD, amazing)
Peter Gabriel - Anything.
Boney James...

Beats?
Esthero... DJ Krush (amazing deep album is kuruious or some shit)
BT is always good
LCD Soundsystem
Dara... uber
Micro.. almost as uber
Just search for 'acid jazz' or check out Somafm.com's 'groove salad'

I managed a music store for 5 years, and have very broad music tastes..

Blue King Brown - Water (song)

That should tide you over till the revolution.

Take the words radio and head, squish them together to get the name of the greatest band on the planet. Check out OK Computer to see what they're all about, and if you like that, get their new In Rainbows stuff, and check out more of their back catalog including Kid A and the bends.

How does it feel to be so wrong, in so many ways?

I'm sure you're trying to use "reverse psychology" on him, but at least get the band's name right.

Two of the classics...

Edgar Winter- Frankenstein (a long video but a good one).
