Xbox case mods?

Anyone do any visual mods for their xbox?

I'm working on one right now, Not sure of a color scheme at the moment though. Have the thing painted white, need to take the mobo and power supply out so i can paint the back and the bottom. I was thinking of doing a lime green with white or black combo, or light blue and yellow. Still undecided. I'll post pics when i'm done with the project, but I really need to find my damn screwdriver first :lol:

Just bought a Halo edition xbox off craigs for $40 with 2 controllers. I have an old broken xbox, which I think I'm going to try the Slimbox thing with (though it seems over my head), and if it works well I might give it a go on the halo box.

My friend did his. He took the X part and painted it red. I'd love to redo mine, but it's a Mountain Dew one, so I don't really wanna mess with it.

Progress so far:

-Cut the back down 17mm
-Cut the top of the faceplate off.

To do list:

-Pick up sand paper, sand the top of front and back.
-Cut both sides 17mm
-Pick up a thread tap somewhere for the screws
-Cut the DVD drive holder and make room for the HD
-Look into LED lights
-Decide what colors to paint it and pick up some good paint.
-Fan replacement?

Just by cutting the front and the back so far it looks pretty nice - The finished product is going to be slick. Still not sure what to paint it. I was thinking orange and brown, maroon and white, red and blue... I don't know.

It's been a while, but I went with all white.

Took apart the controller and painted that white as well, it looks really slick. I'm surprised microsoft didn't come out with an all white xbox, given the LE's they released.

Just need a couple more parts and I can hook everything up for good. I'm loving it. I might have to do a few more projects like this.

Nice. I think I finally have the patience myself to take on a project like this. My only problem is, my XBox is the Mountain Dew Limited Edition, so I can't in good faith mess with it.

I really wanna find a really yellow SNES and repaint it. I think with the purple power button, going with a true yellow, like DK banana bright, would pop out with contrasting colors.
