Where the heck is the hole in the ship in Galleon

This is the 2nd time I have played this game, and this is the 2nd time I have really struggled to get on the ship that is close to the beginning. I figured it out the first time but that was about 4 yrs ago. I can't find it as Im trying to play it again.

wow. this morning it gave me an arrow and told me to go up the ladder :lol:

guess i wasted my time last night.
