PUNISHER demo at EB GAMES B&M

Is it good? I am hopeful since it is written by Garth Ennis. I'll probably get it for the story, but how does the gameplay stack up?
 
I got my hands on the PS2 demo...it looks good IMO. Plays a lot like Max Payne, but with more gore and some cool added features (the interrogations, etc.) And it being a one level demo I didn't get much story, but you can certainly tell Ennis had his hands in advising/writing for it.

What are your guys opinions on the game for the people who played the demo? It looks kinda interesting but I don't wanna buy it until I know it's worth buying.
 
its a free demo, they have them behind the counter. i work at eb and just got home with one for myself, and also an xbox live arcade disc! YAY

Seeing as it doesn't even come out till feb, I doubt it'll drop in price.
 
try today and they told me I have to pre-order the game to get it. going to try another store next week
 
Nice, can't wait for this game. Punisher is by far one of the best comics on the market today. Hope they don't screw the game up.
 
the game plays like hitman mixed with max payne. Its more aggressive showing more blood, and the interrogation feature is pretty cool. You grab the enemy, and use the right and left analog sticks to choke him, punch him etc. The game may actually turn out to be decent.

Mine's not letting it go unless you preorder it, which is retarded.

was free so I would trade it for something else that was free/cheap . . . anyone have the OXM demo #30?

Strange. I went to my EB and asked if they had the demo, and the staff just looked at me funny. They said they were not even aware that a Punisher game was coming out.
 
The demo came to our store on Thursday so it should show up real soon.

some stores force you to do it. To my knowledge though, there is no thing telling us that you have to preorder it to get it. Now for the Xbox Live Arcade demo you must preorder Mechassault 2.
 
Got one last night. They made me pre-order to get the free demo. It's super-sweet! Ultra-graphically violent! The Pirahnas are a nice touch!
 
oh my i'm having way too much fun with this, I just found more death animations. He shoved a grenade in a guy's mouth.. this is insane.. i'm going to prebuy this.
 
I went to an EBs last night (Lloyd Center) and asked if they had demos that came with preorders. They looked at me like I was crazy. Those damn seasonal hirees don't know what I'm talking about! At that location, there's this assistant manager that knows me well, too bad he wasn't working last night. I'm going to try EBs out in Clackamas (the main store) in the next few days.
 
Most employees didn't know they got them. They kept telling me that they didn't have them, and I said they did. He checked the drawer, and he's like "whoa, cool". Wasn't a temp, either.
 
if you have a decent enough PC, theres a free demo out there that I got from Gamespot.com. I'm sure its other places by now.

wasnt bad, but its very max payne like. the pc demo is really really short, but what i thought was interesting was the way the AI worked, they really wanted you to use cover. while some enimes were reloading or hiding behind things, i was able to flank them and grab them from behind while they were waiting for me to shoot them again. human shields are fan-tastic!
