mario sunshine

I want to like it, but it's just too frustrating. Haha... Maybe I should call up my 8 year old nephew to come over and clear it for me.

Seriously, this game drives me bat shit crazy.

Didn't hate it, but wish it had lived up to its legacy (namely, SM64). Most challenges were fun, some were "meh," and a few were frustrating beyond belief. Most disappointing was the obvious padding used to stuff 120 Shines into the game (collecting blue coins to buy Shines? pfft...).
some levels are hard i think ima start over. any of u had this problem before :bomb:
Spongebob, it may be time for you to stop playing video games, and perhaps try a new hobby. May I suggest your first hobby to be learning the English language?

My only complaint about this game is that there is no way to go back and see which blue coins you got. I always saved that task for last and never bothered keeping a checklist handy.

Sadly, I may never finish the game because the completionist in me won't allow < 120 shines

We love the game, but some of the levels are indeed frustratingly difficult. In fact I really doubt we'll ever finish the game because of some of the most difficult levels, but I still think it's a great game. There's lots of really fun levels to play and like Super Mario 64 you can jump around to different worlds, which alleviates some of the pain of the most difficult levels. If you're hopelessly stuck on one level, just switch to some other world and work on those for a while and then come back. I actually played Sunshine before ever playing Super Mario 64 and have played much more of Sunshine than I have 64. At the moment both games are on hold for us as we play other stuff, but I certainly intend to get back to them.

I really enjoyed this game, not being a completionist. I played through it getting 70 shines twice. I thought as a 20 hour romp through, not trying to get everything, the game was pretty solid, though many hate it. It was not groundbreaking like SM64 at all, but I thought well worth playing.
